Posts 1 By Sharnelle EarleEverything is connected once you get to crafting, and there are different ways to acquire a new recipe in the game. Some recipes cannot be unlocked any other way than by certain actions, so we'll go over how to unlock more recipes in Garden Witch Life and how to start progressing.
What Are Recipes Used For?
Recipes are used for different aspects of the game; you can unlock recipes for cooking, and food crafted with the cauldron or cutting board can be used for multiple purposes, like replenishing health or stamina. Some food recipes are needed for furniture recipes, and there are also recipes you can unlock for tools and useful machinery.
When you unlock a recipe, you will find it byaccessing a workbench. The workbench in the treehouse will show every recipe, highlighting the ones you have and graying out the ones you don’t.
How To Unlock Recipes
Recipes can be unlocked with different tasks in the game; some are locked by progression, quests, or by simply exploring, and you can unlock some recipes by repeating a task. If you harvest the same plant a certain amount of times, you will unlock recipes that require that plant.
There are chests hidden around the world that contain fun loot and have a chance to contain a new recipe for either food or furniture. You can find out where every chest in the Forest is located by checking our Garden Witch Life: Forest Guide.
Progressing in the game by completing quests for NPCs is another way to unlock recipes or access to things. NPCs can be gifted things, so make sure to work on building relationships.
