Halo Infinite is getting a third-person mode. The new way to play will be added to Halo Infinite sometime next month, with developer 343 Industries sharing a preview of what it will look like once it's live.

As you can see, it completely changes the feel of Halo Infinite - a bit too much for some fans' liking. In response to the footage that's been shared, some say they aren't happy with the direction the game is being taken in, feeling that Halo Infinite is trying to emulate other games like Fortnite.

Halo Infinite Is Getting A Third-Person Mode

While there are a fair amount of fans who are interested in trying it out, others are frustrated to see that this is the next feature that will be added to the game.

Of course, Fortnite is far from the only third-person shooter out there. But it is possible that this is being added to the game to encourage fans of games like the battle royale to give Halo Infinite a go. With third-person, 343 might be hoping that they find Halo Infinite more approachable. At the very least, it's optional, so anyone who wants a more traditional Halo experience can stick with how they're playing now.

In any case, it's been a rough few years for the Halo series. While Halo Infinite is still going with updates, it has stopped getting new seasons. A rumoured battle royale game was reportedly cancelled too, although the project was never announced in the first place. Then, there was the TV show adaptation, which was a disaster, getting cancelled after two seasons.
