Helldivers 2 is in a relatively comfortable position right now, and while there have been the occasional DSS related mishaps, many believed earlier this year that developer Arrowhead wouldn't be able to get fans back on side after the disastrous PSN sign-in debacle that saw the game brutally review bombed, and again following the Escalation of Freedom update.

Ever since that day, Helldivers 2 has slowly been gaining back trust with various buffs to weapons, new additions, and more. To Arrowhead's credit, it's been working very well, and Helldivers 2 has almost made a complete recovery from the dark days earlier this year to earn back its Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, as spotted by Reddit user Mazifet.

It's worth pointing out that the Overwhelmingly Positive rating is for recent reviews, which only take into account the last 30 days, and that the total reviews rating is still at Mostly Positive, but it's undoubtedly a sign that Arrowhead is heading in the right direction. As for when we'll see that total review rating hit Overwhelmingly Positive again, No Man's Sky developer Hello Games can tell you just how long that can take.

Understandably, there are still quite a few disgruntled fans here and there that are still ticked off about the game being unavailable in certain countries due to the optional PSN account linking, as well as the lack of commemorative cape that Arrowhead teased to enshrine the review bombing into Helldivers 2 history.

There's not much that Arrowhead can do about those particular problems right now, and the next Major Order for the studio will be to raise that total review score a bit higher. Hopefully, the promise of some more in-depth content will bring even more positive reviews flooding in, as we know the Illuminate is just around the corner. May Super Earth save us all.
