Helldivers 2 officially kicked things up a notch earlier today, as Arrowhead sounded the alarm for a full-scale Illuminate invasion. Just as we had surmised plenty of times in the past, a fleet of very angry Illuminate soldiers traveled through the Meridian wormhole and are now headed straight to Super Earth, and it's our job to try and hold them off.

Unfortunately, it seems as though our efforts are simply delaying the inevitable, as a new leak from PlayStation itself seems to imply that Super Earth will be invaded whether we like it or not. First spotted by Reddit user xTekshi and shared by the Helldivers subreddit, it appears as though the official PlayStation account for the Czech Republic has announced the game's next major update a little early.

Helldivers 2 Leak Suggests Another Major Update Is Coming Next Week

In the post from PlayStation, we can see that the tweet mentions that a "big Heart of Democracy update" is coming on May 20, though tweets about the Illuminate invasion from other PlayStation accounts don't include this date. It appears as though PlayStation's Czech Republic account may have spilled the beans a little early.

Supporting this theory, it was also pointed out that the current Major Order in Helldivers 2, that was given to players at the start of the invasion, ends on May 20 too, giving Arrowhead a perfect run-up for a new major update. The phrase "Heart of Democracy" is also mentioned in the trailer for the Galactic Emergency update, and is included in the video's description.

Seeing as though Arrowhead has already introduced new Illuminate enemy types, weapon customization, and more in this latest update, it's exciting to wonder exactly what's left up their sleeves. It's possible we could get some new missions or map types, since we'll most likely be fighting on Super Earth itself for the first time. We won't know for sure until the day comes, but at least we don't have to wait long to find out. Until then, make sure to hold back the Illuminate menace for as long as you can soliders.
