"Silent Units Need To Be Fixed": Helldivers 2 Players Are Tired Of Getting Ambushed By Giant Machines
Summary
- Helldivers 2 fans are frustrated with silent enemies sneaking up on players, despite them being massive machines.
- A Reddit user called JahnDavis27 showcases the problem perfectly, with a video in which they're ambushed by two massive tanks within 20 seconds of each other.
- Players are calling for Arrowhead to have enemies make more sound when they're not in the player's view, as many believe its an issue with sound prioritization.
Helldivers 2 is in a pretty nice spot (though some are getting a little impatient), with fans fighting back against the Terminids, Automatons, and Illuminate in an attempt to stop a black hole from devouring Super Earth. Now more than ever, the battlefield is teeming with massive enemies that are a threat to liberty, whether it be Chargers, Tanks, Hulks, or Harvesters.
They can be tough to take down if you're caught without the right equipment, and it also doesn't help that they have the ability to sneak up on you. Yes, despite their massive size, a frequent occurrence among Helldivers 2 players is having massive war machines and monsters sneak up on them during fights, thanks to what is seemingly a problem with the game's camera.
Helldivers 2 Fans Want Enemies To Start Making More Noise
A Reddit user called JahnDavis27 showcases this problem with quite possibly one of the most absurd examples you'll ever see. In the video they share with the Helldivers subreddit, they can be seen making their way through a blizzard, and see a tank silently emerge from the haze in front of them. They deal with it, only to turn around and come face-to-face with a second tank that had managed to sneak up on them.

Bungie has a lot to prove with Marathon, and I pray this extraction shooter sticks the landing.
Posts 1 By Jade KingIt's not just tanks either, as other players in the replies recall this being a problem with both Chargers and Berserkers too, despite the latter having giant chainsaws strapped to their arms. A user called SorryTour8146 says that the problem has made them "paranoid", and that they always make sure to check their minimap every 2 seconds, while a user called Kahlizzle_Da_Boss thinks it's "annoying we’ve had this problem since day one".

Even the player's footsteps are louder than some enemies, and fans just want the noises that enemies make to be turned up a bit when facing away from them. Hopefully, Arrowhead will do something about it, before I get ambushed by another Charger.
