Now, while the Meridia Black Hole threatens our home, the Illuminate amass their forces, and the Terminids evolve into something more dangerous in the gloom, a new hero has risen.

He may not be a Helldiver, but he damn well made sure that the bugs know that we will not simply lay down defeated. He may not have a weapon, but when democracy was threatened, his rage became a weapon. He may no longer be alive, but that will not stop Super Earth from honouring his brave deed. Certified Forklift Driver is the hero Helldivers 2 needs right now.

A Super Earth Citizen Took Out A Bug With A Forklift

Arrowhead Game Studios is great at environmental storytelling. You'll find all sorts of things around the various maps, like large skeletons, corpses of SEAF soldiers, and weapons in key locations. It adds a bit of flavour to the formula. While we've seen some soldiers laying next to bug corpses, we've never seen an ordinary citizen answer the call of duty, until now.

As spotted by Milkguy105 one of these environmental storytelling instances tells of an ordinary citizen taking out a bug with his forklift, before succumbing to his wounds. It's unclear where this was spotted, but the picture above tells of his brave deeds. Helldivers 2 players have honoured this man – dubbed Certified Forklift Driver – as he deserves.

"Little do you know, you uncivilized cockroach, is that I am forklift certified," said one comment in an attempt to imagine his last stand and reference the meme. "In another life that certified forklift driver might have one heck of a helldiver," said another, knowing that it's the highest of praises for a Super Earth citizen.

This was followed by numerous players posting the Helldivers salute gif, and another player even saying that he earned his cape posthumously. Next time when you feel cornered, with enemies swarming around you, remember Certified Forklift Driver, and take out as many of them as you can.
