In this guide, we will take a look at all you need to know about the Month of Meh event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This event features Gudetama, as well as a strange human in a skintight yellow bodysuit named Nisetama. We'll also cover all possible rewards that you can buy or receive from logging in.

When is The Month Of Meh Event?

The Month of Meh takes place throughout the entire month of May. This means that from May 1 to May 31, you can participate.

This is a secondary event, which means that you can find the rewards kiosk to the right of the primary event kiosk. The Imagination Celebration is happening at the same time, with this event ending May 22. Both events overlap, so you can complete them at the same time.

How To Get Yolk

As with every other event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, the Month of Meh features one unique currency type; Yolks. To obtain Yolks, you'll need to take pictures with Nisetama. This is the human dressed like a Yolk. He will appear somewhere around the island once a day, and if you take a picture with him, you'll get seven Yolks.

The actual quest associated with this is called Nisetama Snap. After you take the picture, you'll complete the quest and earn the Yolk. Overall, he is pretty easy to find since the location is marked on the map. It seems that his location is the same for everyone as well; on the first day, Nisetama is within the Nature Preserve.

Yolk From Daily Quests

You can earn up to four Yolks by completing daily quests. These are typically pretty simple and relate to either a permanent resident or a guest. We had the daily quest to cook anything, and received one Yolk from doing so.

This is a great way to get extra Yolks, so be sure to find Nisetama and do your daily quests for a grand total of 11 Yolks per day.

What Are Giant Eggs?

During Meh, you will also find Giant Eggs around the Seaside Resort. In total, seven can be found a day, with each one holding a normal egg. Eggs aren't the easiest to obtain usually, since they require you to play the Rockadoodler Roundup minigame. As such, this is a good way to get more eggs.

All Month Of Meh Exclusive Kiosk Rewards

At the Egg Shrine, you will be able to trade in Yolks for event-exclusive rewards. Below, you can check out each of these possible items.

How To Obtain Previous Month Of Meh Event Items

The Month of Meh is not a brand-new event, but for many players, it's their first time experiencing it. Thankfully, there are still ways to obtain items from previous Mehs. By visiting My Melody or Tuxedosam in their shops, you may spot previous Month of Meh items.

Both of these shops have rotating stock, so you might not see Month of Meh clothing or furniture. We visited Small Gift Big Smile (My Melody's shop) and found the Gudetama Mirror for sale for one Yolk and one Egg.

The prices for past Month of Meh items typically cost both Eggs and Yolk, with clothing items also requiring some Fabric. Be sure to visit both of these shops each day and see if any past Month of Meh items are being offered!

What Are Eggworts?

Lastly, let's talk about Eggworts. If you don't have access to the Merry Meadows, then you won't be able to get these flowers. If you have been here, then these are event-exclusive flowers that randomly appear in open flower plots.

These flowers will only appear in the Merry Meadows, even if you have flower plots in other maps unlocked. Additionally, flowers cannot turn into the Eggwort. If you don't have any open plots, then these will not appear.

When the Month of Meh ends, the flowers will not disappear!

We highly suggest completing the quest Dig It Up, which unlocks after you reach level ten friendship with Wish Me Mell and complete Mulch Be Well. Dig It Up unlocks the Trowel, which can then be used to relocate flowers and create space for Eggworts to spawn.
