After interrogating several Pieceys, you will get to the bottom of the case. There is also a rather maze-like cavern that you need to go through to reach the Patchwork Clinic to talk to the Doctor in-charge. The Pieceys in Soakville deserve to live a healthy life after their struggles in the Great Mending Era, and Nikki is here to help.

Contamination, Yet A Trace Quest Walkthrough

After you make the giant bud bloom in the Heart of Spring in the quest Return to Purity, you will be transported to the Saltwrap Bathouse with a gush of water.

Here, you will talk to two Pieceys to investigate the case of the infected Pieceys further. They will ask you to talk to Macy whom you can find by going right and floating to another platform.

If the quest seems stuck or doesn't trigger, restart the game to avoid any possible bugs or glitches.

Macy will then ask you to talk to a Doctor Piecey, named Handy Rita, for more information. Handy Rita is found beyond the Mining Caverns. Go inside the cave, and when you see a cliff, jump below to the bottom of the cavern. Go forward and take a right at the intersection.

Float across the rocks in the water to find a locked gate. Activate a lever near it to progress.

Move further ahead and drop the right rock to unlock the path to the Competitive Belt. After defeating it, go further and climb above the obstacles, and go straight ahead to reach the end of the Cavern.

After talking to the doctor, you will be asked to talk to the infected patients. You will then learn about a Piecey selling dubious bath salt during the nighttime. Wait for the night and then talk to a Vendor Piecey selling salt. When you are prompted, make sure to buy some cheap ones from him.

As you thought earlier, these salts are problematic, and even the seller didn't know that. He grabbed them near the Misty Peak, and after you report your findings to Macy, the quest will end. You will get one Resonite Crystal, 100 Shiny Bubbles, and 12,000 Blings as a reward.
