Because Infinity Nikki is not the first game in the series, it's easy to get confused about what's going on in Miraland and how it's different from every time we've seen it previously. Here's what you need to know about this alternate Miraland and what the future holds for Nikki and Momo.

Where Is Miraland?

Miraland is separate from Earth, existing in its own world with several unique nations that call it home. In this magical place, fashion and wishes rule over all. Rather than settle things with combat, all conflicts are solved with Stylist Challenges in a type of fashion battle.

Additionally, some of the most revered and powerful people in Miraland are stylists. These individuals use Whim to create new and intuitive clothing while also reshaping the world around them.

Nikki is always summoned to Miraland by one magic or another, and that appears to be the only way to get there from Earth.

At the beginning of Infinity Nikki, Nikki is drawn to a Miracle Outfit she finds in the attic of her childhood home. It embraces her, sweeping her into a dance before transporting her to Miraland.

This is the first introduction to such powerful outfits that can be found across Miraland and the nations within. Only the most talented of stylists can create them using materials found from the flora and fauna in Miraland.

The wildlife around Miraland is often small, cute, and fluffy, and almost all materials can be used to craft new clothing items. Everything appears to live in relative harmony, undisturbed by the burdens of Earth and all that entails. However, Miraland is not without qualms.

Most resources in Miraland are fashion-themed, from sock styled critters to monstrous coin pouches.

After Over An Hour With Infinity Nikki, I'm Questioning Why It Even Has Combat

With so much else to do in this dress-up game, I'm wondering why the worst of its mechanics has been included at all.

Within Miraland, there are several races. There are plenty of humans, but also elves and faeries that inhabit the world. They don't always get along, and some regions are openly hostile to them. Despite this, there are welcoming places that embrace all cultures and backgrounds.

In addition to the various races, there were once gods that walked among the people. However, they have long since departed, leaving the people of Miraland with Whim and wishes.

How This Miraland Differs From Previous Versions

In previous installments in the series, there are seven nations: the Northern Kingdom, the Cloud Empire, the Apple Federation, the Lilith Kingdom, the Republic of the Wasteland, the Pigeon KIngdom, and Ruin Island. All of these nations made multiple appearances.

However, in Infinity Nikki, these nations appear to be different. Instead, the regions of Florawish, the Wishing Woods, and Stoneville are present. While it's been confirmed that this Miraland is from an alternate timeline, it's unclear whether the previous nations will make an appearance or not.
