Each can be found in different ways, from catching bugs to digging up rare minerals and ores. Thankfully, we'll help you get a steady supply in no time. Everything you need to know about securing silk, unlocking the crafting recipe, and getting the threads to make it is in our guide. Don't wait to get started on crafting silk in Palia.

How To Get Silk

Silk is an expensive resource. You'll need to save a lot of gold to purchase it from the furniture shop run by Tish, at 900 gold per piece. However, you can make it yourself once your furniture crafting skill reaches level six.

Making silk is time-consuming, as you'll need five silk threads and ten minutes to make a single sheet. It's best to set your Fabric Loom to work when you either log in or log out so you can make the most of your time.

How To Get Silk Crafting Recipe

Upon leveling this skill, you'll get a letter from Tish about new recipes available. Purchase the silk crafting recipe from her to unlock the ability to make the material at your home.

The recipe costs 1,500 gold pieces, which is less than purchasing two individual sheets of silk.

How To Get The Silk Threads

The material needed to make silk is silk thread, which is hard to find. Instead of growing cotton like you would for typical fabric, you'll need to catch rare and epic bugs that drop silk threads.

One of the best ways to get these threads is to enter mines and caves and start digging. Use your pickaxe to break stone, iron, and other precious materials. There's a chance that bugs will appear in the rubble, and you can catch them!

Star rarity unfortunately doesn't impact the number of silk threads you collect per bug.

You can also obtain silk threads by completing certain quests and looting treasure chests in Bahari Bay. With a steady supply, you can start making yourself silk in bulk.
