With Onnen Musha bringing status ailments to the table, Kaiden Musha on the offensive, and Tenjin Musha there to heal, you’ll need as many strong multi-target physical attacks as you can get to help level the playing field a bit. Be sure to bring a healer into the fight with the Musha trio - you’ll need one!

Onnen, Tenjin, And Kaiden Musha Affinities And Attacks

Since the battle against the Musha trio in Episode Aigis on Empyrean B9 is primarily about good physical strength, especially when those physical attacks are multi-target moves that can potentially strike each of the three Musha Shadows, you'll want to bring your strongest physical hitters for this battle.

Since these moves cost HP instead of SP, though, you'd do well to bring a healer - we recommend Yukari, since she's got plenty of revival and healing magic in her repertoire by now. You may also come up against a few status ailments during this fight, so having access to status ailment-curing magic is pivotal. As for the other teammates, we recommend bringing two of the following, depending on whose levels are higher at the time of the fight:

  • Metis is a good choice because not only does she have a high strength stat, she has no weaknesses, making her more resistant to critical damage that grants the Musha trio an extra turn in battle.
  • Akihiko always has a high strength stat, and his good agility makes him tougher to hit, especially if he's using his buff skills on himself or the party to not only make you more evasive but also charge his Theurgy meter.
  • Junpei rounds out the trio of good teammates for the Musha battle with his propensity for good physical damage, as well as his support skills to bolster the party and his combat characteristics to boost his chances of landing a critical hit.

How To Beat Onnen, Kaiden, And Tenjin Musha

Since you're facing three Shadows in this fight, each of which has their own unique affinities, you'd do best to focus on dealing physical damage during the battle against Onnen, Kaiden, and Tenjin Musha in Episode Aigis. Since each of them takes normal damage from physical hits, your best bet is to ignore the few elemental weak spots - at least until one or two of the Mushas has been defeated.

Focus on dealing multi-target physical damage during this battle, but beware that the Mushas can and will evade physical damage. It can turn this into a frustrating battle of attrition, but keep dealing these strong multi-target physical attacks (and healing as needed) to make quick work of the Mushas. Tenjin Musha oddly has Makarakarn, but will mostly use it on itself to protect its Ice and Wind affinities.

On the odd turn when Yukari isn't healing the team, she's able to deal Wind damage to Tenjin Musha if it isn't using Makarakarn. Just be sure to use a single-target Wind magic skill, since Kaiden Musha is strong to Wind magic, while Onnen Musha drains it. Similarly, using Yukari's Wind magic to break Makarakarn is also a good idea, since she nullifies Wind damage.

Tenjin Musha has Mediarama, meaning you may want to target it first to prevent it from healing the other team. You'll need to watch out for Onnen Musha's status ailment moves, since these can rapidly turn the tide of battle in the Mushas' favor if left uncured. Be sure to heal ailments quickly, since you don't want to prolong this blow-for-blow fight any longer than needed. Meanwhile, Kaiden Musha hits the hardest, so be sure to heal damage where needed to win the fight.

Rewards For Defeating Onnen, Tenjin, And Kaiden Musha In Episode Aigis

Though there are only two Twilight Fragment chests for you to open, if you've collected enough of this precious resource by now, you'll need six total Twilight Fragments to open both. Inside, you'll find:

  • Dojigiri Yasutsuna, a large new weapon for Junpei, who's likely to ask for it automatically if he's in the party as recommended.
  • Longinus, a new rapier you might want to give to Mitsuru.

Additionally, this fight gives you the Strength Major Arcana card to add to your Shuffle Time deck from here on. By choosing it from the deck when Shuffle Time occurs after battle, you'll boost all current party members' max SP by five points. Aigis has her own SP-boost card, but it's never a bad idea to bolster your friends in SEES!
