Summary

  • Persona 4 Remake's alleged domain name was updated earlier today, suggesting Atlus is preparing for an imminent announcement.
  • Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica's domain names were updated shortly before reveal, though it's worth noting P4R's domain update doesn't indicate a host address.
  • That makes Xbox's summer showcase the most likely place for the reveal, which is taking place on June 8.

Persona 4 Remake rumors have been around for quite a while, though things have been heating up as of late, thanks to a series of subtle hints that Atlus is cooking. For starters, Persona 4 singer Shihoko Hirata revealed that she was recording for an unannounced game, and that this recording was taking place in the studio in which the majority of Persona soundtracks were made. Already suspicious.

Shortly after that, concrete evidence of what appears to be a Persona 4 Remake domain name was found, which was extremely similar to the domain names of previously released games in the series, like Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica. Those that remember the announcements of those games may recall that their domain names were updated just a few days before the big day.

Persona 4 Remake Domain Name Update Suggests Imminent Announcement

Well, it now seems as though the big day for Persona 4 Remake may be coming soon too. First reported by Persona Central, it appears as though this alleged Persona 4 Remake domain name was updated earlier today, suggesting that an announcement could be imminent. However, just as Persona Central points out, this update doesn't indicate an address for the domain's host.

That potentially means that while Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica were announced shortly after their domain names were updated, we may be waiting a bit longer for Persona 4 Remake. However, this does strengthen claims from insider Extas1s that Atlus is preparing to announce the title at this year's Xbox Showcase, which was recently confirmed to be taking place on June 8.

That's also where Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica were announced in 2023, so it makes sense for Atlus to pick the venue again. If that's the case, we're less than two months away from Atlus finally lifting the lid on this thing, and boy has it been a long time coming.
