Ann Takamaki is one of the romance options in Persona 5 Royal. While she starts off as a pretty stranger, those who put the time into getting to know her can build a lasting relationship with her. With the right tips, any Persona player can sweep this lovely lady off her feet.

Progress Through The Castle Of Lust
In order to unlock Ann as a Confidant, you’ll need to make your way into the first dungeon: Kamoshida’s Castle of Lust. While you begin the dungeon as a two-men-and-a-cat group, Ann joins your party during this palace.
Until she awakens to her Persona, Carmen, Ann’s Confidant is initially locked. After her awakening, you formally begin her Confidant ranking on 4/15 via a conversation that happens autonomously.

Reach Rank 2 Kindness
While the first rank of Ann's social link is automatic, further progression requires improved Kindness. All social stats start at level one, and Joker will have to take part in some optional activities around Tokyo in order boost their levels.
For those looking to upgrade the Kindness stat, working at the flower shop in the Underground Mall, reading books that focus on the kindness stat, and feeding the plant in Joker's room are all efficient ways to improve.
While reading books and working will cause the time to pass, feeding the plant will not use up your time slot.
Take advantage of this by ensuring Joker always has nutrients stocked. Grab some nutrients in the Shibuya Underground Mall or from the Red Light District's Flower Shops.
Finish Kamoshida's Palace ASAP To Maximize Free Time
Each palace in Persona 5 Royal gives Joker and his party a limited number of days to defeat the dungeon bosses. Failing to do so will result in a Game Over. Players should always prioritize the main mission, but the beauty of Persona ensures that the dungeons can be tackled at the player's pace once the first four members have united.
The days after beating the boss before the deadline give Joker ample free time. Take the chance to storm through the Castle of Lust early on so that Joker can utilize the time to improve social stats, earn money, and pursue Ann!
Check The Map Each Day For Ann
When Joker isn’t prowling through the metaverse, he’s able to choose from a handful of different ways to spend his free time, all depending on what you the player are hoping to do. This is when you’re able to hang out with your Confidants, so if dating Ann is your end goal, be sure to prioritize time with her.
Ann can be found in the Shibuya Underground Mall after school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. She’ll also be there on Sundays, as well as any time it’s raining. When Ann is available, you’ll see a blue tarot card over the subway stop on your overworld map.

Pick Up A Gift For Ann
Of course, spending time with Ann will help boost your relationship with her, but Joker is also able to give his Confidants gifts periodically. Each Confidant has a preference on what gifts they’d like to receive, so check our full Confidant gifting guide for more details.
Ann seems to most enjoy flowers, perfumes, and makeup. She’ll give you a special reaction, too, if you gift her with the rose bouquet.
Choose The Best Dialogue Prompts For Quick Results
Ann’s social link in Persona 5 Royal is all about her trying to become both a better model and a better person. After the unfortunate tragedy that lights the fire under Ann, she’s more motivated than ever to pursue modeling in earnest. The time she spends with Joker hastens her growth as he supports her in these efforts.
It’s a heartfelt story that shows that anyone can have insecurities, and anyone can overcome them, too. Choose "You Have Me" In Social Link 9 For Prompt 4
When Joker is hanging out with his female Confidants, Rank 9 is typically where you’ll have to choose if you’d like this to stay a friendship or segue your relationship into something romantic.
The Rank 9 scene is your only chance to make a romantic pass at Ann, so choose wisely!
If Ann is the girl of Joker’s dreams in your playthrough, you’ll need to make only one dialogue choice to make her yours. In her Rank 9 scene when Ann is talking about feeling alone again, replying with, “You have me,” is the answer that begins the romance path with Ann.
Complete Rank 10 To Finalize Romantic Storyline
Once you’ve established that you’re dating Ann in your Rank 9 Confidant scene with her, there’s still one more level before her Confidant is considered complete.
Your Rank 10 scene with female Confidants will change, depending on if you chose to date them. You can also choose to date multiple Confidants, which yields, shall we say, mixed results.
For Ann, her final scene shows how much she’s grown, and she wraps it up by asking for your support for the future and offering hers to you as well. She’ll also awaken to her Persona’s second form after this scene, turning Carmen into Hecate, making Ann even more powerful than before.
