This event will be longer than most, spanning from Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10am local time to Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 8pm local time. Below you can find our complete guide for this new event, providing you with all the information you need to get familiar with what is being offered.

How To Get Kingambit, Costumed Nidoqueen, And Costumed Nidoking

A handful of Pokemon will be making their debuts during the Crown Clash Event. This includes a Pokemon appearing in the game for the first time, and two Pokemon receiving new costumed variations.

First, Kingambit will be available for the first time with this event, the evolution of Bisharp, which was introduced with the most recent Pokemon titles. In order to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit, you will need to defeat 15 Dark or Steel-type Pokemon in Raid battles while your Bisharp is your Buddy Pokemon.

You do not need to defeat the Dark or Steel-type Pokemon with Bisharp, they just need to be your Buddy Pokemon when you do this.

Additionally, you will have the chance to catch new costumed versions of both Nidoqueen and Nidoking, both wearing crowns. During this event, you will have the opportunity to obtain these two costumed Pokemon through each of their Three-Star Raids.

Event Bonuses

There will be three different bonuses active throughout the duration of this event, all very different and impacting different components of the game. These bonuses include:

  • Evolving Pokemon will provide you with double the XP.
  • When catching Slowpoke you will have the chance of receiving a King's Rock.
  • Higher likelihood of encountering Shiny Nidoqueen, Shiny Nidoking, Shiny Slowpoke, Shiny Combee, and Shiny Litleo.
