Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: 10 Most Useful Sandwich Ingredients
Pokemon Scarlet And Violet introduce a new side feature to the series in the form of sandwich-making; how delicious! However, this won't be a matter of simply slapping a few ingredients together, as this seemingly simple task is actually a full-on art form.

For a sandwich to reach its potential level three bonuses, all ingredients must remain on the sandwich, which can be a difficult task due to the heavy top bun. However, you can make your life much easier by ditching the top bun completely. As long as the top bun is tossed to the side without knocking over any of the sandwich ingredients, you'll be able to attain level three boosts, so enjoy your open-faced masterpieces!

For many trainers, making sandwiches can be a bit confusing, but there is a method to the madness of sandwich crafting, with many ingredients giving boosts for a particular type. For example, regular Onion is best suited for Psychic-type sandwich bonuses, whereas Red Onion grants Ghost-type boons.
Onions are going to be your building block for shiny and non-shiny boosts, attracting the many Pokemon in Paldea who have Psychic as their primary or secondary typing, like Psyduck or Ralts. While Onion will be required for Psychic sandwiches, other ingredients serve as staples for several different types, so you'll want to go shopping for key proteins as well.
9 Chorizo

Whether you believe that Chorizo is made from Lechonk or not, it does provide a variety of uses all the same. A major ingredient in Paldean sandwich cuisine, Chorizo is used in several recipes, including Normal, Poison, Dragon, Bug, Electric, and Fire-focused meals.
Paldea's plethora of powerful Dragon Pokemon provides a good enough reason to invest in this key ingredient, but the variety of uses solidifies Chorizo as a must-buy item during your next run to Deli Cioso. Depending on your other ingredients, Chorizo can be difficult to physically place as a base, so you may want to save it for last if you don't want to knock anything over while constructing your sandwich.

Rice is perhaps the most popular ingredient across cultures in the real world, and it's certainly no exception in Paldea. Several sandwiches that increase spawn rates and Marks call for Rice, including Fire, Flying, Fighting, Grass, Normal, and Water-type recipes.
It can get a bit more expensive than most basic ingredients, especially if you're buying in bulk, but its variety of uses across some common types makes it a necessity. Rice is particularly important if you plan on farming Pokemon with Marks, which are indications that a Pokemon can be given one of the unique titles you unlock throughout your journey.
7 Herbed Sausage

Speaking of expensive ingredients, Herbed Sausages find themselves among the top five most costly purchases, right behind Klawf Sticks, Curry Powder, and Horseradish. However, their steep price comes with an excellent variety of uses in sandwiches for Dark, Ghost, Ground, Water, and Psychic Pokemon.

Mark hunters will benefit from sandwiches of the above types, while shiny hunters can use Herbed Sausages in their Fighting, Ghost, and Psychic sandwiches as they will serve as the main protein to attract these types. Despite their high cost, you should buy as many of these meat treats as possible to cover your variety of needs.
6 Noodles

Noodles can be an excellent base for a main dish or a fantastic option on the side, but did you know you can attract six different types of Pokemon with them as well? Electric, Rock, Poison, Ground, Ice, and Psychic-type Pokemon absolutely adore a nice Carbohydrate-packed Noodle sandwich.
If we're honest, Noodles slapped in between two buns sounds like a horrible idea, as the redundancy of textures and carbs would probably make it impossible to enjoy the rest of the ingredients. However, you will attract a massive amount of Pokemon, and even encourage Poison-types to appear shiny with these delicious, starchy strings.
5 Tomatoes

Tomatoes are probably the most popular ingredient to add to most sandwiches in our world, but in the Pokemon world, their uses are a bit different. The only encounter and Mark-based sandwich that requires Tomatoes is the Fairy-type recipe, but they serve as a much more valuable commodity for trainers searching for shinies.
If you're looking to standardize your shiny sandwich hunts, then Tomatoes can be used as a core ingredient in every single sandwich, and even double as the main ingredient for Fairy-focused Shiny Power sandwiches. Combine tomatoes with Onion, Green Pepper, and Hamburger for the perfect base to begin any of your type-specific shiny sandwiches.
4 Cucumbers

Much like Tomatoes, Encounter Power and Mark-oriented sandwiches can only make use of Cucumbers in one type of sandwich: Water. However, Cucumbers can be used as part of an alternative base for Shiny Power sandwiches alongside their cousin, Pickles.
Using one Pickle and one Cucumber, you can add any type-specific ingredient to concoct a sandwich with level three Shiny, Encounter, and Title Power. For Water-type hunts, just add an extra serving of Cucumber as your primary ingredient, and you're ready to go. While sandwiching a ton of Pickles and Cucumbers between two slices of bread may sound more like a depressing fast-food vegetarian sandwich, shiny Pokemon simply can't get enough of them!
3 Peppers (Yellow, Red, And Green)

If you like consistency and getting great bang for your buck, then Peppers will provide possibly the greatest flexibility of any ingredient. Peppers of each color can be found in Electric (yellow), Fire (red), or Poison (green) Mark-focused sandwiches, but that's only the tip of the iceberg.

Shiny hunters have two routes to choose from: you can follow the Green Pepper, Tomato, Hamburger, and Onion base if you want to add one more main ingredient to form your particular type-based Shiny Power sandwich. However, you can also begin each sandwich with a base of one Pepper of each color, then combine them with a few more ingredients to finish the recipe. Either way, each base will provide a consistent way to begin your creation, making your sandwich-making life much simpler.
2 Prosciutto

Prosciutto might be the actual most popular ingredient in Spain, Paldea's real-life inspiration, and its ubiquity is also present in Pokemon sandwich-making. While it may not be possible to finish every sandwich with the same amount of Prosciutto, it always serves as the fourth of five ingredients when you begin your sandwich with a rainbow Pepper base.
Assuming a set of Peppers is your base, you can add one Prosciutto to get every single type of Shiny Power sandwich prepped, save for Flying, which will require a second serving to award the full level three boost for Marks, shinies, and encounters.
1 Herba Mysticas

Five And Six-Star Raids
Winning A Tera Raid
Having the right base is important for any sandwich, but if you want to hunt for shiny Pokemon, then you must include Herba Mysticas in order to add the Shiny Power buff to your meal. Herba Mysticas are unlocked as Tera Raid rewards once you finish the Titan storyline with Arven and Mabosstiff.
Once unlocked, you will be able to receive Salty, Sweet, Bitter, Sour, and Spicy Herba Mysticas as rewards from high-tier raids, which are absolutely essential to your sandwiches. You will need to add two Herba Mystic per sandwich, but be aware that mixing Sour and Sweet does not work for any type. Using two Sweet or two Sour also does not work for six select types, so try to mix and match with other combinations to guarantee that you're producing the best sandwich in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
