With each subsequent Pokemon TCG set release, the community continues compounding the excitement and increases FOMO to new levels. Whether you love Scarlet & Violet's most valuable cards or are constantly waiting for something better, we've got you covered with a look at every 2025 Pokemon TCG set.

Prismatic Evolutions – January 17, 2025

The first set announced in 2025, Prismatic Evolutions made its name as the second coming of Evolving Skies, an Eeveelution-themed set well known for containing some of the most valuable cards from its era, including the iconic Umbreon VMAX, better known as 'Moonbreon'.

Prismatic Evolutions' most obvious claim to fame is its collection of valuable cards, highlighted by a Special Illustration Rare of Eevee and every one of its evolved forms, with Umbreon's new chase card leading the pack.

In addition, the set featured valuable Master Ball Reverse Holo cards, each boasting a Master Ball pattern stamped in a Reverse Holo foil.

While Master Ball holos were originally a Japanese-exclusive from Scarlet & Violet: 151, their English debut came in Prismatic Evolutions.

This set's focus on Eevee and stunning Special Illustration Rares immediately made it one of 2025's best Pokemon sets.

Journey Together – March 28, 2025

Journey Together followed up on Prismatic Evolutions' success with another exciting gimmick: the return of cards featuring both trainers and their beloved Pokemon.

While Journey Together is a smaller set, every card is worth collecting, given its attention to detail and beautiful scenes. Trainers like N, Lillie, Iono, and Hop headline the featured characters in this set, as Journey Together marked a shift in design for some of the best Hyper Rare cards.

Aside from the trainers featured with their partners, other Pokemon like Articuno and Volcanion each appear with gorgeous artwork in Journey Together.

These cards ushered in plenty of new decks, themed around specific trainers, and also set the stage for a Team Rocket-themed set to continue the trainer-and-Pokemon dynamic in the Scarlet & Violet era.

Destined Rivals – May 30, 2025

Destined Rivals was originally billed as 'the Team Rocket set,' and it delivers on that promise with the return of popular characters like Giovanni and Mewtwo to collect.

Mewtwo, Nidoking, and Moltres are some of the standout Pokemon you'll find in Destined Rivals, though there are a few surprises in addition to the evil Team Rocket members featured in the Illustration and Special Illustration Rares.

While The Glory Of Team Rocket features several cards that appear in this set, their set lists are not the same. For example, The Glory Of Team Rocket features a Meowth card, while Destined Rivals' main set dropped the card.

This set's release is sure to send ripples throughout the entire Pokemon TCG community, as it marks an important turning point as we approach the final stretch of the Scarlet & Violet era.
