Runescape: Dragonwilds - How To Get Bloodwood Sap

After getting the basics of combat and other mechanics sorted in Runescape: Dragonwilds, you'll get the main task from the old man to find someone called Cathan. On the search for this adventurer, you'll reach the door to Velgar's Lair where you'll learn the harsh truth and get the next task to challenge Velgar itself.

Runescape: Dragonwilds - How To Get Wild Anima

Here is how you can make Wild Anima, one of the most important early game items in Runescape: Dragonwilds.

However, before you can do that, you'll have to find a few items to craft the Challenge Horn, one of which includes the Bloodwood Sap. Unlike other resources, this one isn't found in multiple places, and you'll have to visit a specific location for it.

Where To Get Bloodwood Sap

To get your hands on some Bloodwood Sap, you'll first have to enter the Bloodblight Swamp area found to the right of Whispering Swamp, and the entrance for this goes through the Fractured Plains area. Bloodblight Swamp is filled with poison, so you'll have to craft a bunch of poison immunity potions if you want to stay alive here.

You'll also find level three enemies in this area and a possible mini-boss, so gear yourself up with bronze-tier items before you challenge this area. Once all that is done, you have to reach the very southern edge of the Bloodblight Swamp to get some Bloodwood Sap, right where you see a building on the map.

When you're halfway through Bloodblight Swamp, you can find the entrance further south on the western side of the plains.

You can see the bridge into this building on the map, but make sure you're ready because there are a ton of enemies as soon as you cross this bridge. Once you've defeated all the enemies, you can head to the giant tree in the middle of this area, which will have deposits of Bloodwood Sap on it.

You'll need an Iron Logging Axe to be able to take the sap from the tree. Some Bloodwood Sap deposits are higher up, but you can climb on the roots to get to them. You can easily get up to four Bloodwood Sap here, though each one takes a separate slot in your inventory.

While Bloodwood Sap does visually respawn, we haven't been able to get it with the axe after the first time.

Once you have some Bloodwood Sap, you can simply create a Lodestone in the area and teleport back to your base to get the other items for the Velgar fight ready.
