There are a lot of tricky creatures to catch in Roblox's Fisch, but the Sea Leviathan is one of the toughest. It’s not just rare, it’s a full-scale beast that demands planning, good tools, luck, and a solid strategy. Found only in the Second Sea, this exotic fish can’t be caught casually.

Posts By Vladyslav PetrenkoYou need to wait for the Sea Leviathan Hunt, follow this fish across the ocean, and be prepared for competition with other players. Luckily, once you know how the Sea Leviathan Hunt works, it becomes much more manageable. This guide will break down every step, from triggering the event to choosing the right rod and bait.
How To Catch The Sea Leviathan
The Sea Leviathan can only be caught during a special, timed event called the Sea Leviathan Hunt, exclusive to the Second Sea. Sea Leviathan Hunt has only a five percent chance of appearing during Foggy weather at Night.
So, the fastest way to make it happen is by cycling weather, using Smokescreen Totems to trigger Fog and Tempest or Windset Totems to clear it.
Once Fog rolls in, keep an eye on server-wide messages. If one appears saying "A Sea Leviathan has spawned near Island Name", that’s your cue to set sail immediately.
When you swim up to the Sea Leviathan spawning area, you can easily spot the fish itself due to its huge size and because it floats on the top of the water.
After 15 minutes from the start of the event, or as soon as someone catches it, the hunt is over and the zone disappears, so act fast.
But finding the Sea Leviathan is not enough; you'll also need to know the preferences of the fish and what tools to use to catch it. So let's start with the preferences:
- Bait: Luminous Larva
- Weather: Foggy
- Time: Any
- Season: Spring
The Sea Leviathan slams your rod with a massive 90 percent progress speed debuff, meaning your bar will crawl.
That’s why it’s essential to use high-resilience, high-control rods. Since in the Second Sea, rods from the First Sea get a significant stats debuff, we recommend using Azure Of Lagoon.
However, if you have enough resources to use the Rebuff Altar, you can remove the penalty from First Sea rods and use them. If so, we recommend using such rods as the Heaven's Rod, Celestial Rod, or Seraphic Rod.
