PostsIn this guide, we are going to take a look at all you need to know about the Fishing Event in Roblox: Pet Simulator 99. This event has a lot to it, including exclusive pets and the ability to fish! Grab your rod, head through the Fishing Event portal, and start participating!
How To Join The Fishing Event
Joining the Fishing Event is simple. From the area that you load in from, you'll see a portal off to the right with a sign that says 'Fishing Event!'. By heading through this door, you'll warp to the event location.
You can also join the Fishing Event anywhere by clicking on 'Fishing World!', which is displayed on the left-hand side of your screen. This does the same thing as the portal, and is ideal if you are elsewhere in the world besides the starting location.
Each island in the event will also have a portal that you can take to the main island.
How To Start Fishing
When you begin the event, you'll need to manually fish from the small island and build up your level. Fishing is rather straightforward; head to the shore and click on the water. This will cause your bobber to be tossed out.
Instead of initiating the reeling-in process, you will immediately begin doing so when a fish has been hooked. At this point, you'll need to hold down in order to cause the green bar to rise. When you release, the green bar will begin to lower.
If you've ever played Stardew Valley, this is pretty much the same fishing mini-game.
Your goal here is to keep the bar directly underneath the bobber. As this happens, the blue bar will increase in percentage until you reach 100 percent. At this point, the fish will successfully be caught. If you don't keep the green bar under the fish, the percentage will decrease until it reaches zero, and the fish will get away.
Although the fishing mini-game is simple, it can be hard to get the hang of. Rather than holding down for long periods of time, we suggest tapping/clicking a bit more rapidly. This will give you a bit more precision when fishing.
How To Autofish
Once you reach level ten, you'll be able to autofish. This can be activated from the left-hand side of the screen; when the green dot is next to the autofish icon, then you are autofishing.
Autofishing is just like normal fishing. The bobber will be tossed out, but the green bar stays perfectly behind it the entire time. The blue bar will slowly go up the entire time until the fish is caught. There is really no downside to autofishing, especially if you are multitasking. A fish will never get away during autofishing, unless you walk too far from the fishing spot.
You can still kind of walk around as you autofish. We maintained autofishing while interacting with the boat merchant, but if you go too far, the line will break.
How To Sell Fish
Fish can be sold in order to earn coins. These are the blue coins with a pawprint in the center. You'll be able to find the Fish Merchant on each island, allowing you to quickly sell your catch.
These fish are not the pets that come with the event. The pets come from eggs (and a few other sources) which can be purchased at each island. We'll go over each one later.
There is no reason not to sell every fish that you catch, especially if you are saving up for a rod or boat.
How To Level Up
To level up, you simply need to catch fish. The experience earned can be boosted through the Fishing XP Scroll, which is gold. This will increase your fishing XP by 100 percent for two minutes.
You can also use the Fishing Speed Scroll and Fishing Luck Scroll. In total, the Fishing Event has three scroll types.
While each island in the Fishing Event has level requirements, these are not required. For example, once we had enough coins to buy our first boat at just a few levels, we immediately headed to Murky Mire and started catching fish there.
What To Buy With Coins
Coins are used to buy a variety of items, which we've listed below.

There are five different boat types in the game, with each one being faster and holding more. In general, boats are more expensive than pretty much anything else in the game.
Your storage is displayed on the left-hand side of the screen under your diamonds. By default, you can only hold 40 fish at a time.

What Is The Fishing Streak?
As you catch fish, you'll add to your fishing streak, which is indicated in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Each time you increase your streak, you'll get an increase in luck. For example, when we had a streak of 12, we had our luck increased by three percent.
If you break the line by wandering too far, then the streak will end.
This isn't the biggest boost, but your fishing rod will also provide some luck. For example, the Golden Fishing Rod will increase your luck by 20 percent.
How Many Levels Are There?
In total, you can reach up to level 50. As you level up, you can buy new rods, with eight being available to purchase. As you buy better rods, you'll have increased luck and typically catch fish better and faster.
