Once you've managed to clear away the debris on the eastern side of the beach, you'll be able to access a hidden area full of secrets. Play a haunting song to the mermaid on rainy days, fish up Golden Walnuts from the star-shaped pond, and enter the pirates' hideaway for even more surprises.

The watery entrance by which the pirates row in is also a great spot to fish. This is the only place in the game where you can catch a Stingray, as well as fish up a sweet Gourmand Statue. During the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies, this is a serene place to watch them float about.
