You Could Win A Free Gaming PC Just By Playing One Match A Day In This Steam Next Fest Demo
ZeroSpace is an anticipated upcoming indie RTS game developed by Starlance Studios. The game has a fun promotion during this month's Steam Next Fest festival: play just one match a day of its Galactic War mode (and win it), and you'll be in with a chance of winning a free custom gaming PC.
You get daily entries throughout the course of Steam Next Fest and there are three custom PCs to be won. There are actually a few different prizes you could be up for winning, including leaderboard cash prizes for top-ranked players and custom Steam avatars for taking place in the demo period.
How It Works
ZeroSpace is a "hybrid sci-fi RTS / RPG" that features three campaign missions to get you started and then the ongoing 'Galactic War' which will run throughout the course of Next Fest. There are a number of different commanders and missions to choose from that will help customize your playstyle to your liking. Check out the official Steam page here.
According to the game's Steam page, "every commander who contributes to the war effort for their chosen alliance is eligible to win a prize." One player from each of the alliances will win a custom ZeroSpace gaming PC, as well as an animated profile picture for Steam and a hand-painted Titan statue.
If you fall in love with ZeroSpace, you could also attempt to top the leaderboards for a chance of some cash prizes. The top eight players will win prizes ranging from a $2,000 top prize to $250 for players in fifth to eighth place. You earn points by competing in the 1v1 Ranked Ladder when the period ends on June 20th, just a day before the June 21st playoffs on the final day of Next Fest.
At the time of writing, there are around 360 players in the demo right now, so if you're a seasoned RTS player you might be in for a decent chance of winning a PC. Better odds than the lottery, anyway. There is one small catch though: the demo is almost 50gb in size.
