Shin-Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town - Complete Invention Challenge Guide

Besides having regular story missions in Shin-Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town, sometimes you'll get special ones as you meet more and more people in Coal Town. These are known as Invention Challenges, and they're all about you helping Yuri build new inventions to help people around her.

These inventions may be strange and unconventional, and perfectly solve a problem, but they don't just appear out of nowhere. Each one needs special materials to be made, so it's up to you and Sumi to find enough of them for Yuri, and successfully complete them all for the good of Coal Town.

How To Complete All Invention Challenges

There are six Invention Challenges in the game, and they all have to be completed for you to finish the main story. Each one will need a handful of rarer minerals and special junk items to be created, alongside one main material, Violet Coalite Fragments.

You'll want to take every Violet Coalite Fragment trade at the Bulletin Board if possible, as you'll need a total of 290 for all six challenges.

Your main ways of getting all the materials required for any invention will be looking for sparkling spots around town, trading for them at the Coal Town Bulletin Board, buying them from the Sundries Shop, or later on in the game, winning and getting high scores in trolley races.

Reach Yuri's lab for the first time in Coal Town and speak with her.

Violet Coalite Fragment x5

Violet Coalite and Iron Ore can be found around town in the Vacant Lot, Coal Town West Street, Back Alley, Rooftop Road, and In Front Of Laboratory.

Vacuum Tubes are rarely found at Coal Town West Street or In Front Of Laboratory.

Shiro has a chance to sniff out Vacuum Tubes at Coal Town West Street or Entrance To Coal Town.

Bring Customers To The Diner

Complete the main mission, The Pretty Lady's An Inventor, and the sub-mission Vegetables With Grandma 1, then talk to Yuri.

Complete the main mission, Public Bath Is Ready, then talk to Yuri.

Search For The Phantom Gear

Complete the main mission, A Broken Elevator, then speak to Yuri.

7 Speed Gear

Interact with the SS Typhoon Bike at the Civic Center after completing Rose, Little Girl Roadblock by doing Ace, Prince, and Champ's first sub-missions, and witnessing the scene at the Civic Center.

Complete the main mission, Let The Children Ride, then speak to Yuri.
