Update 19:53 BST 03/12/2022: The same frame that was leaked has now been officially released by the Spider-Verse Twitter account. The account also confirmed that a new trailer is going to be released December 13.

A single frame from a new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been leaked, hinting that it'll be released to the public in the near future.

It's been some time since we've heard anything concrete about Across the Spider-Verse. Despite initially planning to have been released by now, the long-awaited sequel to Into the Spider-Verse was given a fairly big delay into June 2023, and we have felt that wait. The last trailer we received was almost a year ago to this day, but it looks like another is on the horizon.

Earlier today, Twitter account Cryptic4KQual shared an image of a previously unseen frame of Across the Spider-Verse along with the caption "Just hanging... waiting". The image seems to show someone who is editing the trailer, as there are a few production timestamps seen on top of the footage.

As for the frame itself, it shows Miles and Gwen hanging upside down and sitting next to each other, with Gwen's shoulder just ever-so-slightly touching Miles'. Recent interviews with Chris Miller and Phil Lord have revealed that the romantic tension between Gwen and Miles will be a plot point in Across the Spider-Verse, which this frame in the trailer definitely seems to be playing up a little.

Miles' suit may look completely different from this shot, but it's actually the same suit that he was wearing in the last trailer, just now we're seeing it fully from the back. The logo has been changed a bit to be less spray-painted, which actually makes Miles look like his Insomniac Games variant.

There's no way to tell how far along this trailer is in production right now, but the fact that another one is being worked on and has now had some of the footage leaked out seems to imply that we'll be getting the trailer officially in the near future. In just two days, it'll have been a full year since the first reveal trailer, so perhaps something will come out in time for that.
