Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon - How To Respec Your Character
As you build a new life for yourself in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you'll encounter hundreds of Wyrd creatures, bandits, and other nasty things that will stand in your path. As Kamelot lays on the brink of ruin, it's anything but smooth sailing. The initial stats you start with will help you get a leg up in the world, but what if you're not happy with those initial skills?

Every path is different, but only you can decide how you'll distribute your talents to become a hero.
PostsNever fear! There's a way to remake your character without having to start all over and sacrifice all those dedicated ours to Avalon. We'll show you how to reset your skills and attributes.
Where To Get An Origin Potion
The item you'll need to reset your skills and attributes is an Origin Potion. This is a rare item scattered throughout the world in various chests and locations. The first one you can find, however, is in the tutorial prologue.
After you escape your cell, you can find an Origin Potion in Brother Cassian's cell. Make sure to pick it up on your way out. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a while to find your next one, as the locations are few and far between.
Some vendors will sell you an Origin Potion, but stock is limited.
Below are a few other locations where you can find an Origin Potion early on:
- Sunken Village Corpse. On a fallen Keeper in the Sunken Village, you'll find an Origin Potion.
- The Harpist's Tomb. Located in the day section of the tomb.
- Horns of the South Fort. The doctor here is likely to sell you one after you make progress through the main quest.
Be sure to check high-level chests and tough monsters for loot! There's a small chance you'll be rewarded with an Origin Potion.
How To Reset Your Skills And Attributes
Once you have the potion in your inventory, you can use it at any time. Doing so will reset your attribute points and skills, refunding the points to you. You can then freely distribute them as you'd like.
Save before doing this, just in case you change your mind!
You'll need to set up a campfire to level up again, but once you do, you can choose your new skills and attributes. It's the perfect way to redesign your character's approach to combat without having to start over–and you can fine-tune your specs to ensure you're well suited for any encounter.
The first hours you spend in Avalon are all about survival, so it's best if you hold off on resetting your character until you have a feel for how you'll be playing. Then you can best distribute your points for a more specialized character to carry you through.
