Trying to save all of Avalon from the Wyrd is a difficult task. There's a lot going on, and you might want a break from it all. When you do, Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon offers numerous side quests to distract you from the end of the world.

It's never too late to start over.

One of the Keepers in the Horns of the South tends to a rooftop garden, and you'll need to help him out. Of course, he won't make ti easy, but it's worth a small break from the doom and gloom of the Wyrd, at least for a little while in Avalon.

How To Complete The Roots Of The Knowledge Quest

Before you can start the Pumpkin Peril quest, you'll need to meet with Eogan on the tower in the Keepers stronghold. Talk with him about his garden to get a tip about speaking with his best friend in the mess hall kitchen.

Eogan doesn't like talking, so things will go smoother if you just nod and go along with what he says.

Head down the scaffolding from the tower and enter the building across from the Quartermaster's office. Chat with Ruiarc about why Eogan is so grumpy to learn some more background information. Equipped with that knowledge, return to Eogan to see if you can help him in any way.

He'll give you a handful of seeds to plant in the garden. Use any of the marked gardening plots to plant the seeds, then wait 36 hours for the mysterious plant to grow. Come back and collect the herb, then hand it to Eogan.

He's impressed enough and decides it's time to grow something bigger. Much bigger. Eogan tasks you with finding pumpkin seeds in the Horns of the South, which is much easier said than done.

Where To Get Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds can't just be purchased from any vendor. To find them, you'll need to venture northeast from the fort, past the abandoned village. The place you're looking for is a small farm called Roscree, west of the All-Mother Temple from the Shadows of the Horns quest.

Fast travel here at night, during the Wyrd hours, to find two skeletons gardening on the farm. Talk to the Jolly Skeleton on the right to purchase crops from him. He's a typical vendor for the most part, but he also carries pumpkin seeds for 80 gold.

If the skeletons aren't there, try fast traveling back to the keep, then go back to Roscree to reload the area.

What Happens After You Plant The Seeds?

When you bring the seeds to Eogan, you have a chance to warn him about the suspicious circumstances you bought them under. After all, most people aren't immune to the effects of the Wyrd. Eogan will ignore your warnings and plant the seeds.

Come back in a day or two to find a fully grown Wyrd pumpkin! You'll know it's there where you start taking damage in the garden without there being any enemies.

The only way to stop the damage is to break the pumpkin. If you look past it, you'll see Eogan slumped over in the back. It seems he wasn't fortunate enough to realize what was happening before it killed him.

There's nothing left for you to do here, but you can still use the garden if you come across any seeds!
