The Elder Scrolls 6 Fans Want Better Guilds Quests And More Dwemer Lore
Summary
- The Elder Scrolls 6 fans have been writing up their wishlists for what they'd like to see in the game when it finally arrives.
- More complex guild quests is a common request, as many were disappointed with how simple they were in Skyrim, while more lore on the Dwemer is another.
- Other popular requests include a spell creator, the return of Acrobatics and Levitation, and reduced loading screens. Good luck with that last one guys, this is Bethesda.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is a pretty long way away, which is absolutely wild when you remember that the game was first announced a whopping six years ago. It finally entered full development in 2023, though we still only have a title screen and a single screenshot of some vague mountains to look at while we wait. Well, that and The Elder Scrolls Online.
There's so much we don't know about the game, including its setting or potential story, but fans of The Elder Scrolls have a rough idea as to what they'd like to see from Bethesda this time around. In a new post on the Skyrim subreddit, a user called Sweaty-Committee3359 asked fellow players what their wishlists are for The Elder Scrolls 6, and they got quite a few interesting responses.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Fans Want Better Guilds Quests And More Dwemer Lore
A very common request among fans appears to be more complex guild quests. It's very easy to become an incredibly powerful Dragonborn in Skyrim, rising up the ranks of The Companions and College of Winterhold, but there's never really any benefits for doing so. You'd think that the world around you would react to someone powerful enough to master several forms of combat, but Skyrim doesn't really do that.
A user called Ragnarrock420 would like to see guild quests more akin to those in Morrowind and Oblivion, which actually gave you ranks as you progressed through them. They'd also like to see your rank in each guild have "a real impact on how the in-game characters treat you", while others would like to see you potentially locked out of guilds depending on your choices.
Another big request in the Reddit thread is some more Dwemer lore, a race that hasn't really been explored since Morrowind. Sweaty-Committee3359 is one such player who'd like to see the Dwemer expanded upon, while a user called REDACTED3560 explains that they'd like to see the Dwemer play a more integral part of the game's overall story.
Other quite popular requests include a spell creator, the return of things like Acrobatics and Levitation, and no loading screens when walking into buildings, though Starfield's abundant loading screens suggest that request might go unheard. In any case, it sounds like there are some pretty high expectations for The Elder Scrolls 6, but we'll be waiting a while to see whether Bethesda is up to the task of meeting them.
