The Elder Scrolls 6 Could Launch In The Next 5 Years, Developer Profile Suggests
Summary
- The Elder Scrolls 6 may be released this decade, based on a developer's LinkedIn profile.
- The game was originally announced in 2018.
- We can do five more years, right?
In hindsight, Bethesda is probably regretting that Elder Scrolls 6 reveal. Well, it wasn't much of a reveal – more like a logo, which may also change with time. It was the studio's way of saying that 'the game will eventually come out so stop pestering us and go play Starfield'. Unfortunately, Starfield didn't have the staying power that Skyrim had, and fans are now wondering when TES 6 will be released.

Valve has famously always struggled to count to three. After more than a decade each since their flagship series' most recent entry, Rockstar and Bethesda are finally ready to count to six.
PostsIt's safe to say that we're not going to see any news on that front anytime soon. Thankfully, Oblivion Remastered will keep fans of the series occupied for a bit, but we can only guess when the next installment will launch. If a Bethesda developer's LinkedIn profile is to be believed, we may actually see the game some time this decade.
The Elder Scrolls 6 May Release Some Time In The Next 5 Years
As pointed out by Timur222 on Twitter (via GameRanx), a Bethesda Game Studios employee has mentioned a mystery game in their LinkedIn profile. They previously worked on Fallout 76 and Starfield as a programmer, and their current project is listed as "202X - Unannounced". We may be grasping at straws here, but this could be The Elder Scrolls 6, and it may launch some time in the next five years.
We don't know of any other project that Bethesda is working on, unless there's something secretly in the works, but we'll take even the vaguest of hints at this point. To put things in perspective, as of January, we are further away from the announcement of Elder Scrolls 6 than it was from the launch of Skyrim. It was announced at E3 2018, and E3 was permanently cancelled two years ago.

The Bethesda formula has long overstayed its welcome, and Shattered Space proves The Elder Scrolls 6 needs to shake things up.
PostsWith the failure of Starfield, Bethesda has no other option but to go all in on its original properties. Fallout has been MIA for a long time now, and the anticipation for TES 6 may result in it never meeting fans' expectations. I guess we'll see some time in the next five years.
