There are a variety of cooking recipes in the game, and each provides temporary buffs to various stats. Below, we'll take a look at where to find Cooking Ovens necessary for cooking food, and how to craft food items.

Where To Find Cooking Ovens

Cooking is done at Cooking Ovens or Bonfires, both of which can be found all over the map. Cooking Ovens are usually located in major towns or cities, while Bonfires can be found out in the field, at camps, outposts, or the like.

To keep things simple, there's a Cooking Oven in the Kastleton Inn, just north of the Kastleton Waypoint in the city, that you can use for all your cooking needs.

How To Craft Food

To craft food, you'll first need to select the recipe for the item you want to craft, then gather all the ingredients. You can buy ingredients like Vegetable Oil, Eggs, Cheese, and so on, from Sundries Merchants, while most other ingredients will need to be gathered.

Most beginner-level food recipes require two or three different ingredients, but most recipes in general allow for substitutions. Substituting an ingredient lets you work with different ingredients, and may change the outcome of the dish. For example, using rarer ingredients might increase the chance for you to craft a Quality meal, versus just a normal one.

Quality food has a longer duration than its normal counterpart.

Once you've obtained all the ingredients, simply press the Cooking button at the bottom of the screen. A short animation will play, and your food will be crafted. If you have a lot of ingredients, you can craft multiple meals at the same time.
