The Urstella Fields is the home of the goblins in Throne And Liberty, and it's also likely to be the first place you encounter an elite enemy, the Giant Goblin Butcher. Upon your arrival, you'll receive a Codex Quest to slay one of these hulking brutes, but you may run into a problem - they can be hard to find!

Posts By Matt ArnoldHunting down and defeating a Giant Goblin Butcher is more a matter of patience than anything. It will likely get easier as the game's community levels up, as there will be less competition in early-game areas once the initial wave of players reaches the endgame.
Where Does The Giant Goblin Butcher Spawn?
The Giant Goblin Butcher can be found among the other goblins of the Urstella Plains, norhteast of Kastleton via Golden Rye Pastures. One spawns roughly every ten minutes, so you may want to take some Contracts at the Starlight Observatory Ruins on the eastern edge of the zone to give yourself something to do while you wait. Alternately, you could simply battle goblins and gather crafting materials, both of which are abundant in the Urstella Fields.
Urstella Fields is recommended for characters between Level 12 and Level 16. Try not to wander into it early while you're in Golden Rye Pastures at the beginning of your adventure, or you could find yourself in trouble.
Typically, the Giant Goblin Butcher spawns in the southern half of Urstella Fields. Patrol between Starlight Observatory and the Urstella Waystone, and you'll have a very good chance of running into him when he appears. A good practice is to check the map frequently; unlike normal enemies, the Giant Goblin Butcher will actually appear on the map even if he isn't part of a quest. Look for a red Arkeum Legionnaire Helmet icon.

Posts By Seth ParmerHow To Defeat The Giant Goblin Butcher
As his name implies, the Giant Goblin Butcher is just a Goblin Butcher, but bigger. While you can probably solo him, you'll have a much easier time if you recruit a friend or two to party up. However, since there's a quest to fight him, other players will also be looking to battle the Giant Goblin Butcher when he spawns as well. This means you'll usually have an impomptru group for fighting him anyway.
There's no need to worry about other players stealing the credit for defeating the Giant Goblin Butcher; as long as you participate in the fight, the quest reward should trigger.
