There are many currencies for you to keep track of and earn in Throne and Liberty, which can lead to much confusion if you're looking for specific items only to find a currency you have no idea what it is or how you even get your hands on. While Lucent is the only premium currency in the game, tons of others will give you excellent items.

Sollant and Lucent are the two primary currencies in Throne And Liberty. You'll need Sollant for gear upgrades and Lucent to use the Auction House.
Posts By Harry AlstonThe problem is that there are currencies for just about every activity in the game, ranging from Guild Coins to Sollent to Contract Tokens to Ornate Coins and more. You can really get lost in the sauce when it comes to maintaining and understanding the various types of currencies in the game. But, speaking of Ornate Coins, we would like to highlight it a bit more here!
How To Obtain Ornate Coins In Throne And Liberty
Ornate Coins are a unique currency in Throne and Liberty in that you spend them in the game's Shop alongside the Lucent, the game's only premium currency. However, despite that, you cannot purchase Ornate Coins directly and must obtain them through other means, which is where things can get a bit tricky.
While there are many ways to get Ornate Coins, only one method is guaranteed but has a finite supply, while the others come from random generosity or dedication on your end. Again, it's a tricky currency, but it's worth seeking out, considering what you can purchase with it is extremely good.
Codex Collection Pages And Books
As you journey through Solisium, you will stumble upon Purple Codex Pages and Books, allowing you to pick them up and add them to your Codex Collection. For each Page and Book you find, you will receive x3 Ornate Coins. And, while this may not seem like much initially, there are A LOT of these Pages and Books in the wild, so they add up fast.
Right now, there are 153 Codex Collection entries in Throne and Liberty, meaning you can obtain 459 Ornate Coins from them alone, which is a lot in the grand scheme of things. But, as hinted at above, there are some other ways to obtain Ornate Coins that will really pile them on.
Random Mail And Twitch Drops
For other methods of obtaining Ornate Coins, you will need to have a bit of patience. Sometimes, you will randomly receive tons of them in the Mail from the development team as a random act of kindness or as a form of compensation for Server Maintenance or other issues that may impact the community.
These Ornate Coin payments can be substantial, giving you hundreds of them at a time, which will quickly add up over time. Since the game just reached its official release, now is the best time to hop on, as there will be tons of random updates and Server Maintenance due to the influx of players and the potential issues that typically brings.
Another current method of obtaining Ornate Coins is via Twitch Drops, which are rewarded to you for watching Participating Livestreams and watching for a set number of hours. This promotion ends on October 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM (EDT), so make sure you tune into streams to obtain hundreds of free Ornate Coins!

Make sure your Throne and Liberty (Amazon Games) account is linked with your Twitch account to claim your rewards. After claiming your Drops, the reward will appear in your in-game Mail (AKA: Storage Chest) after a short period. - You can just toss a stream up in the background or on your phone, you don't need to engage with the chat or anything to earn Drops!
How To Spend Ornate Coins In Throne And Liberty
Now that you have accrued Ornate Coins, it's time to finally spend them on stuff! To do this, open the game's Shop and click on the Ornate Coin icon on the left-hand side of your screen. It will be the second one from the bottom. Here, you will find a collection of Amitoi, Titles, upgrade materials, and even Dye and Sewing Thread for customizing your Outfits.
It's up to you what you spend these Ornate Coins on, as there are lots of rare and unique items in this Shop. If you're looking to upgrade your Skills, we suggest spending them on Precious Skill Books, at least early on, as you can dismantle them into more Rare Skill Books, giving you more bang for your buck.
Additionally, you can wait until you're Level 40 to spend your Ornate Coins, as you can use them to obtain materials to make items that will sell in the Auction House for Lucent. Again, it's up to you what you spend them on; just try not to waste them too much, as they are tricky to get a hold of once you exhaust all available avenues!
