Witcher 3 Collect Em All Quest - How To Find Every Gwent Card
The world of The Witcher 3 is full of monsters, bandits, and general misery for most of the population. One of the few forms of entertainment that just about everyone seems to love, including Geralt himself, is the card game Gwent. There are people willing to play in just about every town and village across the game's massive world, with tons of cards to collect.

PostsIf you enjoy this pastime as much as its fictional enthusiasts, you'll want to complete the 'Collect Em All' quest by earning the full set. But, with so many cards, and a few you can easily miss, it is not a simple feat.
Updated on November 28, 2022 by Quinton O'Connor: With the arrival of a lavish next-gen console update for The Witcher 3, we're retracing the origins of our Geralt-centric coverage, aiming to improve the content and flow of our guides for a new legion of fans (and veteran Witchers returning for another visual feast).
How To Get Every Gwent Card In The Witcher 3
To earn a complete set, you will need to have at least one copy of every single card in the game. That will accumulate to a grand total of 120 cards to complete the Collect Em Allquest, with an additional 79 available as duplicate cards. There are three primary ways in which Geralt can obtain new cards:
- Purchase them from various merchants across the lands.
- Earn them through Gwent-related side quests.
- Earn them as rewards for beating opponents in games of Gwent.
To help keep track of all the cards you have, and more importantly, the ones you have yet to collect, make sure you activate the 'Collect Em All' quest properly. To do so, you will need to speak to a man named Albert Geert in White Orchard and beat him in a game of Gwent.
This will start the quest, but also give Geralt the 'A Miraculous Guide to Gwent' book, which will denote how many cards Geralt is missing in each region of the map.
The Witcher 3 Gwent Vendors
The easiest way to earn a good chunk of the available Gwent cards is the tried and true pay-to-play method by having Geralt buy up all the cards he can with vendors. Here are all the vendors in every region Geralt can purchase cards from as he goes about his travels.
White Orchard
- Innkeeper
- Merchant
Both vendors can be found at the Woesong Bridge east of the village.
Velen
- Innkeeper, Inn at the Crossroads - You can find him manning the inn any day after 10 AM. Aside from selling a few Gwent cards, Geralt can also beat him in a match to win the Menno Coehoorn card.
- Trader, Crow’s Perch - Geralt should find him around the fort's lower sector.
- Quartermaster, Crow’s Perch - The Quartermaster dwells in Crow's Perch upper quarters near the master armorers Yoana and Fergus.
- Trader, Midcopse - Easy enough to spot while riding through the village of Midcopse.
- Trader, Claywich - This merchant happens to be a captive at one of the Bandit Camps, thus will not be able to trade until Geralt frees him. The Witcher may do so on the large island east of Oreton. Look for an undiscovered "?" marker or a 'Persons in Distress' symbol.
- Trader, Lindendale - Easy enough to spot if Geralt spends a little time in the village.
- Innkeeper, Cunny of the Goose - This inn can be found in a tight arrangement of buildings on the banks of a pond south of Novigrad. The innkeep sells a handful of different cards.
Novigrad
- Olivier (innkeeper) - As the owner, you can find him serving drinks at The Kingfisher Inn.
- Marquise Serenity (innkeeper) - As Madame of the Passiflora, Geralt will find her manning the inn. She awards the Morvran Vooris card upon Geralt's victory against her in their Gwent match.
- Innkeeper, The Golden Sturgeon - A rather shoddy innkeep, this guy doesn't always show up for work. Geralt can hang around and hope he shows up or try dropping in again another time.
- Trader, Seven Cats Inn - This inkeep can be found doing her due diligence at the Seven Cats Inn in Novigrad's southeastern district.
Oxenfurt
- Stjepan (innkeeper) - Geralt can take on Stjepan at his place of work at The Alchemy in Oxenfurt.
Skellige
With so modest a regional population, Geralt shouldn't have a hard time pinning down each island's innkeeper when their establishments are the first and last stop for a warm meal and a tankard of mead. Be sure to stop by these inns the next time Geralt has business in the isles.
- Innkeeper, Kaer Trolde Harbour
- Innkeeper, Urialla
- Innkeeper, Arinbjorn
- Innkeeper, Svorlag
- Innkeeper, Harviken
The Witcher 3: Fists Of Fury Side Quest Walkthrough
The Witcher 3's Fists of Fury content is vast, challenging, and (thankfully) rewarding.
PostsComplete Gwent Sidequests
This is the most important way to complete the Collect Em Allquest, since there are a few select cards that may only be acquired through sidequests.
Gwent: Velen Players
The Gwent: Velen Players sidequest will lead you to a number of opponents you will need to beat in the following order:
Order
Player
First
The Bloody Baron
Second
Old Sage
Third
The Boatmaker
Fourth
Haddy
Start this quest by checking the notice board in Crow's Perch.
Gwent: Big City Players
Once you get to Novigrad, start the Gwent: Big City Players quest by beating Vimme Vivaldi outside his bank in Hierarch Square. After that, Geralt will be sent to play:
- Marquise Serenity at the Passiflora
- Sigismund Dijkstra at his bathhouse
- The commando Scoia'Tel Trader, south of the Logger's Hut. This match win will award you Geralt the Cirilla Gwent card.
This quest should be completed before you progress the main quest past 'Reason of State'.
Gwent: Old Pals
The Gwent: Old Pals quest can be started by playing either Zoltan or Roache. Whichever you do not play first, Geralt will be sent to after, followed by Lambert, who must be challenged either during the Following the Thread quest or while Geralt and the others are at Kaer Morhen together. Then there's the blast from the past, Thaler. Again, this one must be done before The Battle of Kaer Morhen quest. So, for a quick, easy checklist, Geralt will need to beat the following players to complete this quest:
- Zoltan
- Roache
- Lambert
- Thaler
Gwent: Skellige Style
The last of these roaming Gwent sidequests is Gwent: Skellige Style. Get this quest by playing either Crach An Craite or Ermion, then test your deck against the other and continue through Sjusta the Tailor, Germist the Druid, and finally Lugos until Geralt has beaten them all. Geralt will have to accomplish these victories before advancing past the Battle Preparations stage on his main quest.
A Matter of Life and Death
The 'A Matter of Life and Death' quest focuses on a Gwenttournament you must win all three rounds of. Save before each round and reload if you lose because the quest will continue in either outcome, but you won't get the unique card unless you win the tournament.
A Dangerous Game
Accept the quest A Dangerous Game from Zoltan and, once you complete this card stealing quest, choose to keep the cards instead of payment.
Shock Therapy
While in Gedyneith, accept the quest from a druid who will call out to Geralt from a nearby cave called Shock Therapy. Upon completion of this simple quest, you will get a unique card.
Gwent: High Stakes
Finally, the last quest you should take on is Gwent: High Stakes in Novigrad. You will need to pay a hefty 1,000 Crowns to participate in this new tournament, so make a backup save for sure, but it's definitely worth investing in. Especially as the developers have included an exclusive quest-locked romance scene at the Passiflora, to satisfy all the Witcher's indulgences while taking a break from slaying monsters.
The competitors in this competition are some of the toughest opponents Geralt will play, so hopefully, by this point, you have built up a very strong deck. Once again, Geralt will have to win the entire tournament to get all the cards available. Here's who he'll need to be prepared to face off against.

PostsWitcher 3 Gwent Card NPCs
For any remaining cards that might be missing from the collection, the last resort is to go around challenging any NPC who has a deck to play against. Each one Geralt beats will reward a single card, but only the first time they are beaten. Check your copy of A Miraculous Guide to Gwent book to narrow down the region you should be dueling in and start hustling people for any straggling cards Geralt might still be needing.
