World of Warcraft has reached its 20th anniversary and is inviting players to celebrate with them from October 22, 2024 to January 6, 2025. During this time, a special event will be available just outside the Caverns of Time, offering players the chance to earn new and old mounts, pets, toys, and appearances through a variety of daily quests and back-to-back mini-games.

In addition to all the activities available, there are 29 exclusive achievements to work towards, one of which will give you a special mount: the Coldflame Tempest. If you're an avid achievement hunter, this guide is for you.

There are five secret achievements through a storyline that begins October 28, 2024. We will update this article when the quests are available.

How To Complete 'A Cool Twenty Years' Achievement

'A Cool Twenty Years' is a relatively simple achievement, but it results in getting the Coldflame Tempest mount. You can get most of them easily by simply participating in the celebration event, but we've got a table below that explains each one. Once you've completed each one, you'll complete the 'A Cool Twenty Years' achievement and the mount will appear in your inventory.

Peanut Gallery

Click the react buttons when they appear during any of Lorewalker Cho's stories at the Story Timeevent.

Fashion Critic

Use the ribbons during the Fashion Frenzy event to vote for at least one player.

Pet Mischief

Use a Pet Mirror on a summoned Battle Pet, obtained from looting the chest to the right of Petra in the pet area of the event.

Balloonist

Right-click to hop on any of the balloons that Isaandrae spawns at the entrance to the Caverns of Time and ride it around the area.

An Original

Defeat one of the listed world bosses. These can be found easily by looking at the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor map and finding the giant skull symbols. We recommend grouping up in Premade groups to defeat it.

A Gatecrasher

Defeat one of the listed world bosses in Tanaris, located via a giant skull marker on the map. If not enough people in your server are doing it, you can group up in Premade groups.

Codex Editor: Ahn'Qiraj

Que up for and complete the 'Codex of Chromie' scenario. This can be done via Dungeon Finder, but we recommend looking for groups in Premade groups for a quicker queue.

All 20th Anniversary Dungeon Achievements

There are only two dungeon achievements during the celebration event, each requiring you to do Timewalking dungeons. The achievements and their requirements are listed below.

  • 'A Timewalking Step Back to a Classic Dungeon Time'
    • Complete at least one of the following Classic Timewalking dungeons
      • Deadmines
      • Dire Maul (Capital Gardens)
      • Stratholme (Main Gate)
      • Dire Maul (Warpwood Quarters)
      • Zul Farrak
      • Stratholme (Service Entrance)
  • 'A Timewalking Journey Back to a Classic Dungeon Time'
    • Complete all of the Classic Timewalking dungeons listed above.

All 20th Anniversary Raid Achievements

There are only two raid achievements, both in the Blackrock Depths raid. The raid can be easily queued for in the Raid Finder.

For the first, 'You're in Blackrock Depths,' defeat every boss in the raid.

If you are using Raid Finder, you will have to queue for three separate parts of the raid, as each contains different bosses.

'A Dark Iron Past' will take a bit longer, requiring you to find all 13 Temporal Missives, but it is easily achievable when completing a full run-through of the raid. You will spot large glowing orbs as you move through the raid, with others appearing after killing bosses. Simply click on them to get credit for the achievement.

If anyone in your raid group interacts with a Temporal Missive, everyone will get credit.

All 20th Anniversary World Boss Achievements

There are four world boss achievements, two of which are covered under the 'A Cool Twenty Years' achievement above. The other two, 'The Gatecrashers' and 'The Originals' are listed below.

  • 'The Gatecrashers'
    • Defeat all of the following world bosses during the WoW Anniversary
      • Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, Lethon, Emeriss, Taerar, and Ysondre

All of the world bosses can be located on the map of both the Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor. Not every world boss is up every day, so it might take you a couple of days to defeat all of them.

  • 'The Originals'
    • Defeat all of the following world bosses during the WoW Anniversary
      • Doomwalker, Sha of Anger, and Archavon the Stonewatcher

All 20th Anniversary Miscellaneous Achievements

There are nine miscellaneous achievements during the celebration event. Most notable is 'Token Collector,' which will become a Feat of Strength after the event ends. Below is a complete table of all of these achievements and what they require.

Token Collector

Collect 100 Bronze Celebration Tokens via quest.

After completing this, tokens will drop more frequently from quests.

Upgraded Apparel

Purchase any armor set from Taera for 60x Bronze Celebration Tokens.

After completing this, your next set will be 40x tokens.

Classy Dresser

Purchase another set from Taera for only 40x Bronze Celebration Tokens.

After completing this, all future sets will be 20x tokens.

Avid Listener

Listen to each of Lorewalker's stories during the Story Time event. These happen at the beginning of and xx:35 of every hour.

Each story is: 'Heroes of the Scarab Wall', 'The Mercy of Blaine Bloodhoof', and 'The Tragedy of Thassarian'.

Frequent Flyer

Ride every color of balloon during the event. These come from in front of the mouth of the Caverns of Time.

Big Fan

Vote for players 20 times during the Fashion Frenzy event.

Mount Master

Match 20 mounts during the Mount Mania event. These do not all have to be in the same round.

Zoomies!

While transformed into a battle pet via the Pet Mirror, find and run into small Zoomy Treats scattered around the area.

Photo Op!

There are three portals between the pet area and the Fashion Frenzy stage, which rotate to different locations every day. Go through the portal to ten different locations to get credit.
