007 First Light has a great cast of characters. In fact, James Bond actor Patrick Gibson is being pushed by fans and even his co-stars to become the next face of the mainline movie franchise. Other than that, Lennie James did a fantastic job as Greenway, and Bart Edwards gave a solid performance as Bart Edwards.

However, when it comes to the supporting cast, fans already have a favorite, and it's probably not who you think it is. No, I'm not talking about Cressida or Bawma, but Lennox Munroe. Introduced as a rival during Bond's training, we all thought Munroe would go on to become a villain, but it seems he has won over the hearts of fans.

A Strong Bond

In the early segments of the game, Munroe isn't really pals with Bond. In fact, he hates his guts. He even goes on to wreck the MI6 training facility in a fight with the future 00. However, Bond eventually wins him over with his trademark charm, turning the rivalry into friendship, along with Cressida.

Unfortunately, things don't really turn out too well for him, and fans miss him almost as much as Bond and Cressida do. We were all wrong about him, and it stings even worse after his untimely death. "At the start of the game my money was on him turning evil and being the main villain," said one fan on Reddit. "I thought [Cressida] was going to die, and he’d blame Bond for it. I was sad when it just turned out he was always a solid dude and died as a loyal friend."

"Man, rare that I get sad over a character dying in a game, the actor did a good job of making him likable in a short amount of time," said another. It seems fans appreciated the fact that Munroe eventually admitted that Bond deserved to be in the 00 program, despite testing him to the limits.

It also diverted away from the trope of the typical classroom rival. He was mature enough to realize that Bond was an asset to the program, and even trusted him during the chapter four mission, when everyone ordered him to stand down. Unfortunately, that didn't go so well for him.
