Evony Arthur Wellesley’s Backstory

In 19th-century Europe, amidst the turmoil of war, one name would echo through history, Arthur Wellesley, the brave military commander known as the Duke of Wellington.

Wellesley’s genius was clear from his youth, with early victories in the Fourth Anglo-Maratha War earning him the rank of brigadier general. Yet it was at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 that his name became legendary. Facing Napoleon’s resurgence, Wellington’s brilliant strategy and use of terrain led to a decisive victory, crushing Napoleon’s forces and ending his empire for good.
