Surprise! Cult classic Bayonetta is now available on Steam, right here.

Originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan back in 2009, the stylish hack-and-slash game found a dedicated fan following - enough that Nintendo backed a re-release and full sequel for Wii U in 2014.

But this is the first time the original Bayonetta has ever been available for PC.

If you purchase the game before 25th April you'll get the Digital Deluxe Edition for no extra cost, which includes a five-track soundtrack and digital artbook.

Bayonetta stars a shapeshifting witch with magical hair and guns, who fights off angelic enemies with bullets and her stilettos because why not.

It's the brainchild of Hideki Kamiya, the famed director behind Resident Evil 2, Okami, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, The Wonderful 101 and the now-cancelled Scalebound.

"A blast of creative brilliance, both technically accomplished, strategically deep and infused with rare imagination, Bayonetta represents the pinnacle of its chosen niche."
