Icarus is a sci-fi survival game from the creator of DayZ

Dean Hall, the creator of survival game DayZ, has announced his next game: Icarus.

Icarus is a free-to-play first-person alien planet survival game. There's resource gathering (chopping down trees, for example), building and of course survival.

The fail state in Icarus occurs if you run out of time on your "drop". The video, below, shows one player who runs out of oxygen as another heads to their evacuation craft.

Hall, who heads up New Zealand-based studio Rocketwerkz, said Icarus is due out at some point in 2021.
