There's a little Master Chief hidden inside the new Xbox One S

We're used to cool Easter eggs in video game software, but rarely do we see them in video game hardware.

Yesterday, Microsoft's Mike Ybarra teased the Easter Egg in a tweet, without giving away the details:

It turns out Microsoft tucked away Master Chief, the star of the Halo series, inside the recently-released Xbox One S. Most of us will never see it in the flesh.

Ifixit spotted the Easter egg as part of its Xbox One S teardown, a little Master Chief etched onto the console's optical disc drive bracket. Here's the pic:

Pretty cool! Or is it a cunning Microsoft trap to get Xbox One owners to void their warranty?
