With Nintendo launching the Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gaining near-perfect scores across the board, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that Middle-earth: Shadow of War was announced this week. The sequel to 2014's excellent Shadow of Mordor was officially unveiled with a trailer sadly lacking in gameplay but rich in detail nonetheless.
Like so many people I am a big fan of Tolkien's universe and Shadow of Mordor, so I leapt at the chance to scour the trailer for clues as to how the next game is shaping up. I'm not ashamed to tell you that my research included a half hour conversation about the different headgear the Nazgûl have canonically sported up to now.
Anyway, ringwraith hats aside, I found nine interesting new developments coming to Shadow of War, all of which you can learn about in the video below.
