Marvel Rivals Cyclops Leaked Team-Ups, Endure Mechanic, and Every Datamined Skin With Confirmed Rarities
Cyclops only just landed in Marvel Rivals with Season 8.5 on June 12, 2026, and dataminers have already found a pile of unreleased content buried in the game files. We are talking two new team-up abilities that are not live yet, one-sided voice lines with heroes who have not fully recorded their responses, a brand-new invincibility status effect called “Endure,” and a long skin list complete with confirmed rarities.

All of it comes from game file datamines, with leaker XOX being the primary source on the skins side. Treat it as a strong signal of what is coming over the next couple of seasons, not a guaranteed release schedule.
Here is the breakdown of everything found so far.
Cyclops Is Getting Two More Team-Up Abilities
Right now in Season 8.5, Cyclops has a single confirmed team-up: Blast Slash with Wolverine. But voice lines in the game files show two more team-ups are already in development, and neither is live yet.
Gambit Powers Up His Optic Blasts
The first is a team-up between Cyclops and Gambit. Activation voice lines found in the files include “Charged and ready at full potential, energy enhanced,” which points to Gambit infusing Cyclops with kinetic energy and buffing his existing abilities rather than giving him a completely new one. Think of it like the Rogue and Magneto team-up dynamic, where one character supercharges the other’s damage output.
Phoenix Turns His Beams Into Fire
The second team-up involves Jean Grey (Phoenix). The datamined activation line reads “Cosmic beam, force and fire, Phoenix Blast,” suggesting Cyclops’s optic blast gets wrapped in Phoenix fire for this ability. This is the team-up most players expected to exist the moment Cyclops was announced, and the files confirm it is on the way.
The reason neither Cyclops nor Jean Grey have voice line interactions with each other in the live Season 8.5 build is reportedly because Jean’s voice actress had not yet recorded the other half of the exchanges when the patch shipped.
A New Invincibility Mechanic Is Being Built Into the Game
One of the more intriguing finds in the files is an unreleased status effect called “Endure.” It triggers invincibility voice lines across multiple heroes, including recently added ones, with lines like “Nothing can hurt me, I’m untouchable” and “Unstoppable spirit”.
This is separate from White Fox’s existing charm ability, which technically already grants invincibility but does not trigger any voice line when it activates. The fact that fresh heroes already have these lines recorded suggests “Endure” is tied to an upcoming hero or ability, not White Fox.
The most credible theory right now points to Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat). Leaked ability data from January 2026 described Kitty making herself intangible and immune to all attacks for several seconds, unable to use other abilities during that window. That lines up almost exactly with what the “Endure” voice lines describe. She has not been confirmed for any specific season, but the voice line work is clearly already underway.
Every Leaked Skin in the Files Right Now
XOX’s datamine pulled a full list of skins currently being worked on, along with type tags (Comic, MCU, Original) and rarity flags for several of them. These are not necessarily all coming in Season 8.5. The leaker noted they typically ship within the next couple of seasons from when they appear in files.
Summer and Season 8.5 Skins With Confirmed Rarities
Season 8.5 is running the 2026 Summer Festival event. Ten swimsuit skins were officially announced, but the datamine suggests more are coming, and executive producer Danny Koo hinted at a second wave on Twitter.

Beyond summer content, the files show a wide range of skins for the seasons ahead:
Moon Knight gets a Comic skin. Given that Season 9 is shaping up as an Apocalypse vs. Khonshu story, this timing makes sense
Magik gets a Legendary Comic skin with two recolors. Season 9 lore points to Magik siding with Apocalypse as a potential Horseman, so expect this skin to tie into that arc
Scarlet Witch gets an MCU skin, almost certainly her Age of Ultron outfit since June 2026 is the Age of Ultron crossover window in the Path to Doomsday event
Psylocke gets her Corporate Raider costume at Legendary rarity with ultimate VFX
Rogue gets her Alchemax Clone costume at Legendary rarity with alternate VFX
Ultron gets a Comic skin and an Original skin. No MCU skin is in the files yet, which surprised the community given the Age of Ultron event, but the leaker noted that does not rule one out before the event goes live
Gambit gets a new Original costume
Iron Man gets a recolor and Original skin
Thor gets a recolor
Jeff the Land Shark gets a blue recolor of his Incognito Dolphin skin, plus a new Comic outfit
Squirrel Girl gets a recolor and Original skin
Winter Soldier gets a recolor and Original skin
Venom gets a new Comic skin
Human Torch gets a new Original skin
Penny Parker gets a new Original skin
Luna Snow gets a black and gold recolor plus an Original costume
Rocket Raccoon gets an MCU movie skin (has been in the files for a while)
Hela gets two new Original costumes
Groot gets a new Original costume
Punisher gets a new Original costume
Adam Warlock gets a new Original costume
Mantis gets a new Original skin
Cyclops Voice Lines With Heroes Not Yet in His Interaction Pool
Alongside the team-up ability voice lines, the files also contain one-sided Cyclops lines directed at heroes he currently has zero interaction with in the live game. These are one-sided because the other voice actors have not recorded their responses yet.
A few standouts:
With Jean Grey / Phoenix: Cyclops has a line that reads, “Never, Jean. An entire universe couldn’t keep us apart. No matter where life takes us, there’s one thing I know for certain. We’ll always find each other again.” He also has a separate line addressing the Phoenix Force directly, referencing the time he wielded its power and became the Dark Phoenix: “Your bond with Jean is stronger than it’s ever been before, Phoenix, and it almost broke me. I wasn’t cut out to harness your power, but I have faith that Jean can do better.”
With Storm: Cyclops thanks her for protecting Krakoa during the time stream entanglement, then has a comedic follow-up when he finds out Storm and Black Panther are married in the Marvel Rivals universe. His line, “Wait, did I miss something? Are you and the T’Challa of this empire teaming up, so to speak,” is one of the funnier bits of in-game writing found so far.
With Doctor Strange
Cyclops asks Strange if he can erase traumatic memories, specifically referencing flashbacks from his time as an Alchemax prisoner: “Can you use your magic to erase events from someone’s mind? Steven, I’ve been having flashbacks ever since I escaped from there.”
With Iron Man: Cyclops clarifies he was not at Alchemax as a spy but as a prisoner being tortured. His line, “I wasn’t there as a corporate spy, Tony. I was being held prisoner and tortured,” closes out a lore thread that several other voice lines reference.
With Mantis: The two bond over shared trauma, both having been held captive (Cyclops by Alchemax, Mantis by the Collector).
