The first Mayan Stone is obtained during the main story. The game introduces the alignment puzzle mechanic here, making this collectible impossible to miss.

Head to the island’s northern shoreline near the warehouse. The Mayan Stele is easy to spot while exploring the coast. Complete the puzzle to collect the stone.

Coordinates: 159, 583

From the northern synchronization point, climb into the nearby hills. The monument sits on elevated ground overlooking the surrounding landscape.

Matanzas

This stele is located southeast of the warehouse in the hills. Solve the alignment puzzle to claim the collectible.

Misteriosa

Coordinates: 265, 171

The first of Misteriosa’s two Mayan Stones is positioned near the western beach beneath the island’s Spanish fortifications.

Coordinates: 272, 175

The second stele is close to the northeastern synchronization point, making it easy to collect during the same visit.

New Bone

Search the northwestern section of the island to find another Mayan monument. The puzzle here is relatively simple compared to several later stelae.

The island’s only Mayan Stone is located among the central ruins. Complete the alignment challenge to continue your collection.

Look for the stele on the western side of the island. Players naturally pass close to this location during the later chapters of the story.

Coordinates: 846, 352

The monument is located uphill from the northern beach near the plantation. Climb the structure and solve the puzzle.

Pinos Isle

Coordinates: 303, 452

The first Mayan Stone is hidden within the ruins south of the northwestern synchronization point.

Coordinates: 312, 454

The second monument overlooks a nearby shipwreck on the eastern hill. Since both stelae are close together, it’s efficient to collect them during the same trip.

Long Bay

Coordinates: 502, 216

Long Bay becomes accessible through story progression. Once unlocked, head toward the Observatory entrance to find the Mayan Stele nearby.

Isla Providencia

Coordinates: 487, 33

The first of the island’s two Mayan Stones is located within the northern temple ruins near the Jackdaw’s docking area.

Coordinates: 476, 16

The final Mayan Stele is positioned close to the southern synchronization viewpoint. Completing this puzzle rewards the sixteenth and final Mayan Stone.

How to Unlock the Mayan Armour

After collecting all 16 Mayan Stones, return to Tulum and enter the sealed Mayan temple. Insert each stone into the ancient mechanism to unlock the hidden chamber.

Inside, you’ll receive the Mayan Armour, one of the strongest collectible rewards in the game. In Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, players also obtain the Yax Tun Pendant, which grants the armor’s signature projectile-deflecting ability even when wearing a different outfit. This makes the collectible hunt worthwhile not only for completionists but also for anyone looking for a permanent gameplay advantage.

Since the Mayan Stones are spread across nearly every region of the Caribbean, it’s most efficient to collect them while progressing through the main story. Picking up nearby stones whenever you visit a new island reduces unnecessary sailing and minimizes backtracking later in the game.
