FC 24 FUTTIES SBCs Are Disappointing Yet Again? - FUT Guide
The latest piece of FC 24 Futties content in Evolutions, specifically the Futties Premium Upgrade, deserves a quick evaluation. This upgrade isn’t terrible; it offers a plus one pace, plus two shooting, passing, dribbling, and a one physical boost on an already high-rated card from a Futties Evolution item. A 94-rated striker card, for instance, gets slightly more overpowered without increasing the overall rating, which is quite interesting. However, the requirement to play Champs or Rivals matches for such minimal stat boosts is annoying, especially since most players will pursue it for meta cards. Some new combinations, like Di Natile’s upgrades, are noteworthy, but not all players will be able to evolve their Di Natile cards effectively.
FC 24 Futties SBCs: The New Additions and Issues
Moving to the SBCs, there’s a clear division between the content that’s making waves and what isn’t. Starting with the SBC that hasn’t garnered much attention, the brand-new Minamino Monaco card has 97 passing, 96 dribbling, and 97 pace. Despite being five-star, five-star, and cheap, it feels more like high-rated fodder for the overpriced Ginola or another major SBC. There’s not much to discuss here, but the affordability is a plus.
The real issue arises with the first 99-rated SBC card: a 99-rated Hamm. This card looks unbelievable with 99 shooting, 97 dribbling, and 97 pace, plus five-star skills and weak foot. However, the requirements are outrageous: 30 squads, including 27 rated at 93, making the SBC cost around 4.2 million coins. This pricing is absurd, especially since comparable cards on the market are significantly cheaper. For instance, an Alex Morgan card with similar play styles costs about 2.8 million coins. The SBC’s structure is baffling and reflects poor decision-making by EA.
The Lack of Unlimited 84×10 SBCs
One of the most significant disappointments is the continued limitation of the 84×10 pack, which remains capped at seven times per day. This limitation hinders players from enjoying the game in an endgame fashion. The failure to provide an unlimited repeatable SBC, especially at this stage of the game, is frustrating. Last year, unlimited 84×10 packs were available by this time, allowing players to complete high-rated SBCs efficiently. The absence of this feature feels like a missed opportunity to enhance player satisfaction.
FC 24 Futties Promo: A Decline from Fifa 23?
The Futties promo has lost some of its charm compared to previous years. The shift towards putting Futties cards in packs has changed the promo’s nature, making it feel like just another promo rather than something special. The voting system, where players once controlled the content, is sorely missed. This system made Footies unique, giving players a sense of agency in deciding which cards would be upgraded. The current approach, where Footies cards are simply re-released, lacks the excitement and engagement that defined the promo in the past.
Despite these issues, the FC 24 Futties promo has driven significant market changes. Prices of high-rated cards have dropped dramatically, making them more accessible. For example, a Doo card that was once valued at 13 million coins is now under 5 million. Similarly, many top-tier cards have seen their prices plummet, which is one of the few positive aspects of the current Footies event.
