Fortnite Season 3 Updates: Every Confirmed Collab and New Feature Still Coming in Chapter 7
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, titled Runners, launched on June 6, 2026, and it already brought a new island, reworked Sprites, John Wick in the Battle Pass, and a fresh weapon pool. But the season is far from done. The next major update lands on June 25 and it is stacked, covering OG Season 9, the confirmed Sonic collab, multiple new item shop drops, two new gameplay items, and a win condition that lets your whole squad survive without a single elimination.

The June 25 Update: What Is Actually Confirmed
This is the headline date right now. On June 25, 2026, Fortnite is deploying what looks like the single busiest single-day content drop of the season.
Here is everything officially confirmed or credibly sourced for that update:
Fortnite OG Season 9 goes live. OG mode is moving from Season 8 (the pirate season) to Season 9. That means NeoTilted and Mega Mall return, along with the Final Showdown live event, the iconic battle between the Devourer monster and the Mecha Team Leader. The OG Pass expires on June 24, which lines up with this transition.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds collab launches. Epic confirmed this at the State of Unreal showcase. The crossover ties directly to Sonic’s 35th anniversary on June 25 and is linked to Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, a Sega title. This is not a fan theory. It was confirmed on stage, with a gift-with-purchase component also reportedly involved.
Dave the Diver hits the item shop. The indie game icon is getting a full Fortnite outfit, priced at 1,500 V-Bucks. If you buy Dave the Diver on the Epic Games Store, the skin comes free. Leakers have already posted cosmetic edit images of the skin, and the community response has been mostly positive.
Singularity returns with a new skin. The character from the original Chapter 1 Season 9 finale is coming back as part of the OG mode rollout. Her new skin has reportedly been sitting in game files since Season 3 launched. It is expected to be an item shop release rather than an OG Pass reward.
Space Beth (Rick and Morty) joins the item shop. The Rick and Morty collab is getting a second wave. Space Beth arrives with Jerry as a pill bug back bling and Snowball, the Season 1 dog, as a sidekick.
The Bank Shot Pistol and Shock Rocks Are Still Coming
Two weapons and movement items confirmed in the Season 3 cinematic trailer have not dropped yet, and they are going to change how fights feel when they arrive.
Bank Shot Pistol fires bullets that ricochet off surfaces. Confirmed in the Polygon Season 3 loot pool breakdown, this gun rewards positioning and angles over raw aim. Corner camping, box fighting, and tunneled builds are all going to feel different once players start bouncing shots.
Shock Rocks give players three midair jumps in a single activation. This was shown briefly in the official trailer. On their own they are already strong for mobility and escaping zone. Combined with the Seven Sliders already in the loot pool (which let you slow time while aiming mid-slide), Season 3’s movement ceiling is going to get noticeably higher in the back half of the season.
Rambo Is Already in the Shop Right Now
If you missed it, the Rambo collab went live in the Fortnite item shop on June 19, 2026. The set includes three edit styles for the John Rambo outfit, a back bling, pickaxe, wrap, glider, and emote. This crossover had been hinted at since Chapter 2 Season 5 when the key art showed Jonesy doing the iconic Rambo headband tie, and it never happened until now.
The bundle is live now. If you have been waiting years for this one, it is in the shop.
Olivia Rodrigo Teaser Is Real, But the Release Date Is Still Open
On June 12, 2026, the same day Olivia Rodrigo released her third album, Epic added a new tree at Sinister Strip on the Shattered Coast map. The tree has a pink swing set and a knife carved into the wood. Her album cover shows the exact same swing set. Her vinyl cover shows her carving a heart into a tree. It is not a coincidence.
Forbes confirmed this is an active Fortnite tease and that a skin is coming. The current best estimate from RadioTimes and other tracking outlets is that Olivia Rodrigo could arrive as early as July 29, tied to the next Fortnite Festival season. That would make her a Festival Icon pass, not a standard item shop skin, though nothing has been officially locked in yet.
If you are a Festival mode player, watch the item shop and Festival pass announcements closely as July approaches.
John Wick Is Getting His Own Sprite
John Wick is already in the Season 3 Battle Pass as a cel-shaded “Pen and Ink” skin at level 85, complete with Daisy (his dog) as a sidekick. But a separate addition is on the way: Wick will also appear as a Sprite on the map, becoming only the second collab character to receive Sprite form after existing as a Battle Pass skin.
No ability has been officially detailed yet for the John Wick Sprite. A survey sent to some players also asked whether they would want Sprites to carry over into other modes like Blitz or Reload. That player feedback could influence whether Sprites stick around past Season 3.
Fan Design a Sprite Contest: $2,500 and In-Game Forever
Epic has opened an official Design a Sprite contest. The rules are straightforward:
Draw your own original Sprite concept
Post it on social media with #DesignASprite
Three winners will each receive $2,500 cash and see their Sprite added to Fortnite
Judging is based on three things: how unique the theme is, how fun it feels, and how strong the visual design is. The contest closes July 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, so if you plan to enter, the window is short.
The Battle Bus Extraction Win Condition
Confirmed in the Season 3 patch notes, a new win condition is coming later in the season. On certain matches, the Battle Bus will rift back onto the map mid-game. Any player who reaches it and gets at least one teammate to the rift-out point wins a Victory Royale without needing to be the last squad standing. Multiple squads can extract and win from the same match.
This is not a guaranteed event every game. It happens at a percentage chance, and when the bus appears, the whole lobby knows about it immediately. Expect heavy fighting around the bus when it spawns. Skilled squads will rush it. Casual players who just want a W will also flood toward it, which creates a chaotic late-game situation unlike anything the current Ranked mode has seen.
Kingdom Hearts: Confirmed for Season 3, No Date Yet
Kingdom Hearts has been delayed at least twice. It was originally targeted for earlier in Chapter 7 and was pushed back. As of now, the collab is still reportedly targeting Chapter 7 Season 3, not cancelled.
The clearest supporting signal: a Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer dropped recently, and a crossover item appeared in Rocket League around the same time. Almost every Rocket League collab has rolled into Fortnite shortly after. It is not official, but the timing makes it one of the more credible leaks remaining this season.
Battle Pass Styles Still Unlocking Later This Season
If you already own the Season 3 Battle Pass, two items have question marks at the end of their profile pages right now: Vanguard Sloane and the Voidblade. Their additional edit styles were briefly visible in the original Battle Pass reveal video and are set to unlock through quests later in the season. You do not need to buy anything extra. Just keep playing.
Fortnite Unreal Engine 6 Plans for 2027
At Unreal Fest in Chicago, Epic confirmed that when Fortnite moves to Unreal Engine 6 in 2027, the game will allow third-party developers to create their own skins and submit them into Fortnite. Players will also be able to take their existing Fortnite outfits into other UE6 games. This is a long-term shift, not something changing in Season 3, but it confirms where Epic sees cosmetics heading over the next few years.
