The Genshin Impact Version 6.7 Special Program went live today, June 18, 2026, confirming the most loaded single patch the game has put out in the entire Nod-Krai cycle. Version 6.7, officially titled Luna VIII, launches on July 1, 2026, and it is coming in with a new five-star debut, two major reruns, a brand new reaction type, seven character reworks, and a proper Snezhnaya teaser at the end.

System LayerConfirmed Banner & Character ParametersMobile Playstyle & Pull Strategy

New Character

(Sandrone Debut)

5-Star Cryo Claymore Main DPS.

• Charged Attacks command her companion Fagio to fire AoE Cryo beams.

• Strong performance at C0; C2 serves as a prime stopping point.

Pull for New Meta: Grab Sandrone if you want an on-field carry designed entirely around activating and maximizing the new Stellar Superconduct reaction.

New Mechanics

(Stellar Superconduct)

• Electro + Cryo creates the Wondrous Stellar Glow Domain.

• Substantially shreds enemy Physical RES.

• Triggers Cryo/Electro DMG buffs and enables CRIT scaling on reactions.

Build for CRIT: Because Stellar Superconduct is currently the only reaction outside of Lunar mechanics that can CRIT, build your support units with standard CRIT stats rather than pure EM.

Banner Schedule

(The F2P Trap)

Phase 1 (July 1): Sandrone + Columbina (Rerun).

Phase 2 (July 21):Raiden Shogun + Citlali (Rerun).

Chronicled Wish: Qiqi, Yae Miko, Cyno, and Wriothesley.

Save Primogems Wisely: Phase 1 splits your pity between two fully independent top-tier carries. Use the Chronicled Wish banner safely if you just need Electro/Cryo supports.

Free Kit Reworks

(Stellar Synergy)

Qiqi: Zero Skill cooldown downtime; buffs Superconduct/Cryo Swirl by 50%.

Yae Miko / Wriothesley: Upgraded for Stellar Superconduct viability.

Cyno: Deals direct reaction DMG in his Radiant state.

Diona: C6 grants a massive +40% Stellar Superconduct/Swirl buff.

Beidou: Shifts to an energy battery role; C6 adds a 15% Cryo shred.

Yumemizuki Mizuki: Shares 10% of her total EM to active allies.

Rebuild Legacy Units: If you own Qiqi, Diona, or Yae Miko, they auto-upgrade into premium Stellar Superconduct partners the moment the patch drops.

Exploration Areas

(New Regions)

• Adds the Frost Moon and Lunar Palace expansions.

• Introduces a dedicated regional Offering Progression System.

• Ties heavily into Fatui lore, Celestia, and the moon itself.

Blitz Early Chests: Front-load your pulls by hunting down hidden puzzles. Exploration alone accounts for over 2,020 free Primogems.

F2P Economy

(~13,500 Primogems)

Total patch yields yield roughly 84–85 Intertwined Fates:

• 2,020 via Exploration | 500 via Offering System.

• 1,000 via Sunny Summer Fontinalia flagship event.

• Remainder via Commissions, Quests, Abyss, and Logins.

Clear the Flagship Event: Completing Fontinalia mini-games also rewards a completely free copy of Charlotte along with an exclusive outfit.

This is also the last patch before Version 7.0, which officially takes the game to Snezhnaya on August 12, 2026. If you are sitting on a saved Primogem stack and you have not made your pull decisions yet, this article will walk you through every confirmed reward, every banner, and every character change you need to know before July 1.

Sandrone Arrives July 1 as a Five-Star Cryo Claymore DPS

Sandrone’s official drip marketing posted by HoYoverse on May 25, 2026, confirmed her as the sole new five-star character in Version 6.7. She is a Cryo Claymore carry built entirely around a sustained on-field playstyle, and her kit is unlike anything the current Cryo roster does.

Her core mechanic involves her mechanical companion Fagio, who activates during Charged Attacks and fires Cryo beams at enemies in an AoE pattern. Her damage identity does not come from raw Cryo scaling alone. A significant portion of her output ties directly into triggering and amplifying the new Stellar Superconduct reaction, which is also launching with this patch.

Beta testing for 6.7 wrapped, and the final verdict on Sandrone is positive. She received buffs to her Charged Attack performance, Elemental Burst scaling, and passive abilities during the beta cycle. The community consensus from playtesters is that she performs well at C0, with C2 considered a strong stopping point for anyone who wants to invest further. Compared to several recent five-stars who felt underwhelming without constellations, that is a meaningful distinction.

Lore fans have even more reason to pull. Sandrone, Harbinger number seven, is a central figure in the Nod-Krai storyline. Her own Story Quest unlocks with Version 6.7, and it covers her origin, her relationship to Fagio, and her place among the Eleven.

What Stellar Superconduct Actually Does

Stellar Superconduct is not just a cosmetic upgrade to the old physical-damage Superconduct. It is a fully separate reaction system that creates a special field called the Wondrous Stellar Glow Domain.

Here is how it works, based on confirmed beta data:

  • Sandrone’s Elemental abilities convert the surrounding area into the Wondrous Stellar Glow Domain when Electro meets Cryo under specific conditions

  • Enemies inside the domain have their Physical RES lowered substantially

  • Every time enemies inside the domain are hit by Cryo or Electro attacks, the active party members receive buffs lasting three seconds: increased Cryo DMG Bonus, increased Electro DMG Bonus, and a higher base multiplier for Stellar Superconduct reaction damage

  • Stellar Superconduct damage can land CRIT hits, which standard elemental reactions cannot do

  • The reaction scales from the stats of the characters involved, not just a flat EM multiplier

This matters because Stellar Superconduct is currently the only reaction outside of Lunar Reactions that gains CRIT scaling. That alone changes how you build your support characters for this comp.

Seven Older Characters Just Got Free Kit Upgrades

HoYoverse confirmed free kit reworks for seven existing Cryo and Electro characters in Version 6.7. These are not balance number tweaks. They are ability additions tied to the Stellar Superconduct system, including new passives, updated scaling, and in several cases, reworked C6 bonuses.

The confirmed characters receiving changes are:

  • Yae Miko (Electro): New Stellar Superconduct interactions added to her kit, described as “nice treatment” by leakers who have seen the final build

  • Wriothesley (Cryo): Updated for Stellar Superconduct team viability

  • Cyno (Electro): His enhanced skills now deal Stellar Superconduct direct damage when he enters the Radiant state inside the domain

  • Qiqi (Cryo): Skill cooldown and duration now sync to 15 seconds each for zero downtime; party members deal 50% more Superconduct, Stellar Superconduct, and Cryo Swirl damage while her Skill is active

  • Diona (Cryo): A new passive fires coordinated attacks every 3.5 seconds when allies trigger Superconduct or Cryo Swirl; her C6 now adds 40% Stellar Superconduct and Cryo Swirl damage to the active character

  • Beidou (Electro): Her Skill has been reworked from a primary damage source to an energy battery role, and her C6 now also reduces Cryo resistance by 15% alongside existing Electro shred

  • Yumemizuki Mizuki (Anemo): EM-based changes that push her further into a buffing role, and she now shares 10% of her EM to allies while in Skill state

If you already own any of these characters, especially Yae Miko, Qiqi, or Diona, they are worth rebuilding for 6.7. The upgrades are free and they apply automatically once the patch drops.

The 6.7 Banner Situation Is Genuinely Painful for F2P Players

Here is the confirmed and strongly indicated banner breakdown for Version 6.7.

Phase 1 (July 1 to July 21, 2026):

  • Sandrone (new five-star Cryo Claymore, full debut)

  • Columbina (first rerun since her original release)

Phase 2 (July 21 to August 10, 2026):

  • Raiden Shogun (rerun, well-timed with the Electro mechanics launching this patch)

  • Citlali (rerun, expected to receive a new outfit this patch)

Chronicled Wish Banner:
A special Chronicled Wish banner focused on older Cryo and Electro characters is confirmed for 6.7. Characters confirmed to appear include Qiqi, Yae Miko, Cyno, and Wriothesley. Given all four of these characters are receiving kit upgrades this patch, this banner could be the best opportunity to grab a missing piece for a Stellar Superconduct team.

Sandrone and Columbina in the same phase is particularly rough. Neither is a support for the other. They are two fully independent carry-tier characters sharing the exact same window. You cannot efficiently target both on one account without heavy Primogem investment or a guarantee already banked on the right character.

Every Confirmed Primogem Source in Version 6.7

Based on beta estimates across all tracked reward categories, players should be able to earn roughly 13,500 Primogems during the full duration of Version 6.7. That translates to approximately 84 to 85 Intertwined Fates.

Here is how those rewards break down by source:

  • Frost Moon and Lunar Palace exploration: Approximately 2,020 Primogems from chests, puzzles, and hidden encounters in the new areas

  • New Offering System: An additional 500 Primogems for completing the region’s dedicated progression system

  • Story and World Quests: Roughly 220 Primogems from completing Sandrone’s Story Quest and the World Quests tied to the new map

  • Sunny Summer Fontinalia flagship event: Approximately 1,000 Primogems across mini-games, seasonal activities, and event challenges

  • Daily Commissions, Spiral Abyss resets, and login rewards: The standard per-patch contribution rounding out the remainder

The flagship event also rewards a free copy of Charlotte alongside a new outfit for her as part of event completion objectives. Charlotte’s Stellar Superconduct and Cryo Swirl kit changes make her more usable in 6.7 team compositions than she has been in recent patches.

The New Exploration Areas: Frost Moon and Lunar Palace

The Version 6.7 live stream is expected to give the first full showcase of two new explorable areas: the Frost Moon region and the Lunar Palace expansion. These areas tie directly to Nod-Krai’s overarching lore around the moon itself, Celestia, and the Fatui’s inner workings.

Exploration here is not just filler. With around 2,020 Primogems available through chest hunting, puzzles, and hidden encounters, the Frost Moon region is one of the largest single-area reward pools the game has added in recent memory. Players who fully clear new regions early in a patch tend to front-load a significant chunk of their pull currency, which matters a lot in a patch where Phase 1 alone demands a major decision.

What This Patch Means Before Snezhnaya

Version 6.7 is the bridge. Version 7.0 launches Snezhnaya on August 12, 2026. The 6.7 Special Program is widely expected to close with a Snezhnaya teaser segment, possibly the first official look at characters, environments, and story threads that will define the next chapter of the game.

Raiden Shogun’s Phase 2 placement is not accidental. She runs from July 21 to August 10, putting her banner almost immediately before the Snezhnaya arc begins. If you are a returning player or someone who missed her on a previous run, that is the window.

For players focused purely on team building, the priority calls right now are:

  • Pull Sandrone if you want the only character currently designed to activate Stellar Superconduct from the ground up

  • Pull Columbina if you missed her original run and play Cryo or the team archetype she supports

  • Use the Chronicled Wish banner to fill gaps in your Electro or Cryo roster using Yae Miko, Cyno, Qiqi, or Wriothesley without competing with the event banner pity

  • Save Primogems earned in exploration if you are targeting Citlali or Raiden in Phase 2

The 6.7 redemption codes dropped during today’s Special Program carry 300 total Primogems (100 per code) and expire within 24 to 48 hours. Redeem them immediately before they close.
