Kindling is one of the most important Work Suitabilities in Palworld, powering furnaces, smelters, and other fire-based production facilities. While every Fire-type Pal can perform Kindling tasks, some are significantly more efficient thanks to higher Kindling levels or additional Work Suitabilities that improve overall base productivity.

Best Early-Game Kindling Pal: Incineram

For new players, Incineram offers one of the best combinations of efficiency and versatility.

Although it shares the same Kindling level as Arsox, Incineram stands out because it can also perform several additional base jobs. Besides fueling furnaces, it can operate workbenches, transport materials, and mine ore, making it an excellent all-purpose worker during the early stages of the game.

How to Get Incineram Early

Incineram normally appears later in Palworld, but it’s possible to obtain one much sooner.

Head to the area below the Windswept Island Watchtower, where two Syndicate Thugs can be found. Wait for them to summon their Pals:

  • One summons Leezpunk
  • The other summons Incineram

Capturing the summoned Incineram provides an early boost to your base without waiting for its normal spawn locations.

Early-Game Alternative: Wixen

If Incineram isn’t available, Wixen is another excellent early-game option.

You can find groups of Wixens around the Scars of War, north of the Hill of Beginnings. The area also contains several other Fire-type Pals, making it a good location to expand your workforce.

Best Mid-Game Kindling Pal: Blazamut

Compared to Incineram, Blazamut sacrifices Handiwork and Transporting in exchange for significantly stronger specialization. It doubles both its Kindling and Mining levels, making it ideal for mining-focused operations where ore production and smelting are constant priorities.

Where to Find Blazamut

Blazamut can be obtained by:

  • Capturing one on the volcanic island northeast of the desert biome.
  • Hatching it from Huge Scorching Eggs.

While breeding is possible, capturing one directly is generally the faster option.

Mid-Game Alternatives

Two other Pals perform well during this stage:

  • Moldron — A solid choice if your base needs another mining specialist.
  • Blazehowl — Slightly lower Kindling than Blazamut but capable of working at Logging Sites when not tending furnaces.

Best Late-Game Kindling Pal: Renjishi

Once you reach the World Tree, Renjishi becomes the premier Kindling Pal in Palworld.

Its biggest advantage is the ability to reach Kindling Level 10 through Condensation, the highest Kindling level currently possible. Unlike other top-tier Kindling workers, Renjishi also provides several additional Work Suitabilities, making it valuable across multiple base operations instead of occupying a slot solely for furnace work.

The only drawback is availability, as Renjishi cannot be obtained until the World Tree portion of the game.

Late-Game Alternative: Jormuntide Ignis

Jormuntide Ignis can also reach Kindling Level 10 through Condensation.

However, it focuses almost entirely on Kindling, offering far less flexibility around the base than Renjishi.

The upside is that players can obtain it much earlier.

You can acquire Jormuntide Ignis by:

  • Capturing one on Feybreak Island.
  • Breeding Jormuntide with Blazehowl.

If your priority is maximizing furnace efficiency as early as possible, Jormuntide Ignis remains an excellent option.
