Sony’s June 2, 2026 State of Play ran for over 60 minutes and delivered one of the most stacked showcases in recent memory. It opened with new gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine, went through over a dozen game reveals and release dates, and closed out with a full 20-minute gameplay reveal of a brand new God of War title, one nobody expected.

Titles are landing practically every week from September through October, and 2027 already has a few heavyweights lined up too. Below is every confirmed game, in broadcast order, with all the details Sony actually gave us.

Marvel’s Wolverine Opens the Show with a Release Date

Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine kicked off the show with a new gameplay trailer that went hard on Logan’s brutal, gory combat. The show confirmed the game features a mutant task force called Team X. Jean Grey appears as a teammate, using her telekinetic powers alongside Logan for combined takedowns on cybernetic, mutant-hunting enemies called the Reavers.

Release date: September 15, 2026. Pre-orders opened the same day as the State of Play.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Gets Three New Characters

The fighting game got a big roster update. Three new fighters join: MagnetoGreen Goblin, and Carnage. Together with Doctor Doom, they form a new team called the Knights of Doom, who play a role in the game’s Episode Mode story.

Rayman Legends Retold Is a Full 3D Remake

Rayman Legends Retold is not just a port. It is a 3D reimagining of the original platformer with fully voiced characters, an expanded soundtrack, new gameplay, new and returning levels, a mysterious new realm, and four brand new musical stages. Couch co-op supports up to four players.

Bancho the Chef Is a Standalone Dave the Diver Prequel

The Dave the Diver team at Mintrocket revealed Bancho the Chef, a standalone prequel. It mixes cooking sim with globe-trotting RPG, tasking players with running restaurants and learning techniques from culinary masters around the world. It uses DualSense controller features to add tactile feedback to cooking actions. No release date was confirmed.

Kemuri Is Ikumi Nakamura’s New Action Game

Kemuri, from Ikumi Nakamura (Ghostwire: Tokyo) and her new studio Unseen, is a supernatural action game set in a vertical city called Kemuri City, where life and death coexist. Players explore rooftops, back alleys, and ruins, form bonds with yokai to unlock new abilities and outfits, and tackle encounters solo or in online co-op with up to two others.

Release date: 2027.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Gets a February 2027 Date

Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog’s Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis got a story trailer showing gameplay from the Peru Lost Valley and the return of familiar characters from Lara’s history. Amazon Game Studios is publishing.

Release date: February 12, 2027.

The Lost Wild Is a Dinosaur Survival Horror from Alien Isolation Veterans

The Lost Wild, from Great Ape Games (whose team includes developers from Alien: Isolation at Creative Assembly), puts players on an island full of dinosaurs. The design philosophy here is that every dinosaur behaves like an actual animal with its own instincts, not a scripted monster. The game is built around evasion over combat.

Release date: 2027.

Phantom Blade Zero Has a Release Date and Its Own Dedicated State of Play

Phantom Blade Zero dropped a new story and gameplay teaser. Sony confirmed the game will headline its own dedicated State of Play later this summer with a full deep-dive into features, mechanics, and story.

Release date: October 29, 2026 on PS5.

Dune Awakening Comes to PS5 with a Brand New Single-Player Mode

Dune: Awakening, the open world survival game set on Arrakis, is coming to PS5 on September 22, 2026. The PS5 version is described as the “definitive version” and adds a brand new single-player mode plus a new chapter in the cinematic storyline, on top of everything already in the PC release.

Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered Coming October 1

The remaster covers both Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends in one package on PS5. The protagonist from Dynasty Warriors Origins will also be playable in this release.

No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Launches on PS5 in October

Moon Studios (Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps) is bringing No Rest for the Wicked to PS5 with its full 1.0 launch. The game features 100+ hours of content, new weapons, new bosses, new areas, and a completely redesigned class system. Supports both solo and co-op play.

Release date: October 2026.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword Demo Is Out Now

Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword got a story trailer and a release date, plus a playable demo that went live the same day as the showcase. The demo includes around 30 minutes of early game content and lets you practice core mechanics: Parry, Deflect, Issen, Oni Armament, and soul absorption.

Release date: September 25, 2026.

Silent Hill Townfall Gets a Release Date and a New Character

Silent Hill: Townfall, from No Code and Konami, received a new story and gameplay trailer. The trailer introduced Zoe, a resident of St. Amelia that protagonist Simon connects with over a CRTV device. It also showed a new creature that will stalk players in the Otherworld. Pre-orders are now open with multiple launch editions available.

Release date: September 24, 2026.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Confirmed for October

Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is coming to PS5 with a full campaign, 30 aircraft including real-world fighters and fictional models, new tactical maneuvers, and encounters against massive continental transport aircraft. Pre-order bonus is the full game Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.

Release date: October 2, 2026.

Stuntman: Hollywood Is Back from Saber Interactive

Stuntman: Hollywood is a new entry in the stunt driving franchise from Saber Interactive. Each film is broken into episodes, and each episode uses a different vehicle with its own objectives and gameplay twists. The trailer showed Knight Rider and the DeLorean. No release date was confirmed beyond “coming soon to PS5.”

ILL Is First-Person Horror from Mundfish Interactive

ILL, from Mundfish Interactive and Team Clout, is a first-person action horror game. The trailer showed off a visceral dismemberment system, realistic physics, unpredictable monster behavior, and an atmosphere built around relentless dread.

Release date: 2027.

Control Resonant Gets a September Launch Date

Remedy’s Control Resonant is a direct continuation starring Dylan, set in a paranatural-warped Manhattan with shifting realities and monstrous entities. Dylan uses his evolving abilities and a shapeshifting weapon called the Aberrant to fight through the city. Jesse Faden from the original Control also returns.

Release date: September 24, 2026.

Marathon Season 2 Is Live Now, with a Free Play Week

Bungie’s extraction shooter Marathon launched Season 2: Nightfall on June 2. Sony also confirmed a free Open Play Week running June 2 to June 9, 2026, with no PlayStation Plus membership required, giving new players full access to Tau Ceti IV.

Until Dawn 2 Is Real and Coming in 2027

Firesprite Games officially unveiled Until Dawn 2, a standalone PS5 sequel to the 2015 horror classic. It features a brand new cast of ghost hunters heading to an abandoned tropical island for the debut episode of their TV network-funded show. The butterfly effect decision system returns. Dr. Hill returns, played once again by Peter Stormare.

Release date: 2027.

God of War Laufey Closes the Show with 20 Minutes of Gameplay

Santa Monica Studio saved the biggest announcement for last. God of War: Laufey is a new mainline entry in the God of War franchise. You play as Faye (Laufey), Kratos’ wife who was burned at the start of God of War (2018). The story picks up with Faye fighting through the afterlife of the gods to save the people she loves. The showcase ran a full 20 uninterrupted minutes of gameplay.

Faye is modelled and voiced by Deborah Ann Woll (Karen from Daredevil). A character called Frank the Cube appears to be voiced by Jack Quaid.
