Beyond Contact: How to Enable Respawn in Single-player Mode

Are you scared of dying in an unforgiving alien world?
Almost throwing your peripherals in rage when your progress is wiped?

Well fear not! Death is meaningless in the face of having respawn enabled!
This guide is a walk-through of 2 methods for enabling respawn in Beyond Contact ensuring a comfortable ride to doomsday saving the world!

How to Enable Respawn in Single-player Mode

Method 1 (Private Multiplayer Server)

Creating a private Multiplayer game.
  1. Select PLAY.
  2. Change the Play Style to Multiplayer.
  3. Change the Server Visibility to Private.
  4. Adjust the Players slider (altering the maximum amount of allowed players) to One (1).
  5. Leave Respawn enabled.
  6. Set the Fauna level to what you’d like
  7. Enjoy a play session free of fear.

Your settings should look like this before starting the game:

Method 2 (Respawn enabled single-player game)

Converting a multiplayer game to single-player.
This allows you to pause the game using the ESC menu and the OBJECTIVES screen; something that is not possible in the multiplayer Play Style.
  1. Select PLAY.
  2. Change the Play Style to Multiplayer.
  3. Change the Server Visibility to Private.
  4. Adjust the Players slider (altering the maximum amount of allowed players) to One (1).
  5. Leave Respawn enabled.
  6. Set the Fauna level to what you’d like
  7. Double check your settings look like those outlined in method 1 above.
  8. Start the game.
  9. Once Quinn has gotten up off the floor press ESC.
  10. Select the SINGLE PLAYER option on the menu (See EG 1.).

You should now be able to respawn in your single-player games! Enjoy a fear free experience on Ketern!
