The Genshin Impact 2.1 Update is going out in a few days. In the anticipation of the update, miHoYo released the list of new weapons that would be released in the banner and the new events. Alongside the weapons, the 2.1 update is going to be filled with new characters and the continuation of the Inazuma storyline. These new Genshin Impact weapons would definitely add more to your characters and enhance their abilities.
MiHoYo revealed four new weapons that will be introduced to the game after version 2.1 is released. While some are linked to events, others, like the new forthcoming characters Baal and Kujou Sara, will be part of limited-time banners, the other two of the new weapons presented were polearms, one was a claymore, and Aloy’s bow was the last.

Engulfing Lightning (Polearm)
This polearm is the topmost recommend weapon that can complement and enhance Baal to make her a powerful character. This weapon is event exclusive and won’t appear on the standard banner to summon. When ascended to level 90, the polearm has a base attack of 508 and Energy recharge at 55.1% at the level 90. Since it has an Energy recharge sub stat and recharge after the use of burst, it is perfect for Baal since she can recharge the entire team.

Luxurious Sea-Lord (Claymore)
This claymore is a gag and a reference to miHoYo’s other game, Honkai Impact’s fish weapon, “One Salty Tuna“. It has become one of the most popular weapons since the design of the weapon is pretty silly for a claymore and the characters holding them looked nothing less than funny. It will be available during the Moonlight Merrytime Event. The base attack for this weapon is 454 and the secondary stat attack % is 55.1% at level 90. When players use their Elemental Bursts, this strange-looking weapon slaps the enemies in the face with tuna, dealing additional AoE damage.

The Catch (Polearm)
The Catch, a four-star fishing-themed bident, is the second polearm. It will only be available through the Inazuma Fishing Association, which will play an important role in the upcoming Genshin Impact fishing game. This is one of the most useful Genshin Impact weapons. This weapon has a base attack of 510 with the secondary stat being Energy Recharge of 45.9% at the level 90. Since it also has an Energy recharge sub-stat, it is perfect for every single existing polearm character except for Xiao.

Predator (Bow)
Aloy from Horizon: Forbidden West is to join the Genshin Impact Universe in the next update. With her comes a specific bow perfect for her character called “Predator”. The weapon will be free for Playstations players only since the “Strong Strike” effect only works for Playstation. This weapon has a base attack of 510 with the attack% sub-stat at 41.3% at level 90. It’s a perfect weapon for Cryo bow users so you can make the most out of it by also using it on Ganyu and Diona.

The overall selection of the Genshin Impact Weapons that will be out in the 2.1 Update seems to be good. Some of the weapons could be refined up to refinement rank 5 by the items available in the Event Shop so make sure to get them all. The pre-installation for the 2.1 Update is already out. There’s much more to look forward to in the Update and travelers are all eagerly waiting for it.
