The Lava Temple is the final map in Bring Back The Sun on Roblox — and it earns that title. This is easily the hardest map in the game. There’s a multi-step symbol decoding puzzle, a flame color-matching puzzle that requires you to read a pattern grid carefully, a positional canvas puzzle, and a statue orientation puzzle to finish things off.

It sounds like a lot, and honestly it is. But once you know exactly what each puzzle is asking, none of them are impossible.

I’ve broken every single step down below so you can get through The Lava Temple without losing your mind in the process.

If you’d rather follow along visually, here’s the full video walkthrough:

Full Walkthrough: Bring Back The Sun! THE LAVA TEMPLE

Step 1: Break the Glass and Find the Symbols

Right at the start, collect the rock sitting nearby. Use it to smash a specific glass case — this reveals a set of symbols behind it.

But here’s the thing — you don’t need all of them. Only certain symbols matter, and the book nearby tells you which ones to focus on.

Read the book. It tells you to follow the yellow line. Tracing the yellow line gives you three symbols on the top row and two on the bottom row.

The five symbols you need, in order, are: circle, triangle, rectangle, triangle, cross.

Write those down — you’ll be using them to decode the code.

Step 2: Pull the Lever and Note the Values

Find the lever nearby and pull it. This reveals a set of values assigned to mathematical symbols:

Pi = 2, Delta = 9, Zero = 1, T6 = 8.

Now go back to your five symbols and decode each one using this key.

Circle = Pi = 2

Triangle = Pi + Delta = 2 + 9 = 11

Rectangle = T6 = 8

Triangle (second one) = Pi + Delta = 11 again

Cross = Zero = 1

So your full decoded sequence is: 2, 11, 8, 11, 1.

Step 3: Enter the Code — 211 8111

Now this is where a lot of players get confused. The code isn’t entered as individual numbers — the sequence runs together based on the decoded values.

The first three digits come from: 2, 11 → which reads as 211.

The last four digits come from: 8, 11, 1 → which reads as 8111.

So go to the two keypads and enter 211 on the first and 8111 on the second. Get it right and you’re through to the next room.

Step 4: The Flame Color Puzzle

This next room has four torches, and you need to set each one to the correct color. There’s no random guessing here — it’s all based on reading a color pattern grid on the wall.

The grid has a few blank spaces, and the torch you need to color matches those specific blank positions. Your job is to figure out what color belongs in each blank spot based on the surrounding pattern.

Here’s the solution for each torch:

The first torch (Right side Near Entry) — look at the pattern and find the blank below yellow. Below yellow in the grid is orange. Set this torch to orange.

The second torch (Right Side Opposite Entry) — find the blank at the bottom left of its section. The bottom left color there is purple. Set this torch to purple.

The third torch (Left Side Opposite Entry) — the blank in this section sits next to yellow, and the color next to yellow is also yellow. Set this torch to yellow.

The fourth torch (Right Side Near Entry) — the missing color is at the top left of the pattern. Top left is yellow again. Set this torch to yellow.

Once all four torches are set to the correct colors, the door opens.

Step 5: Collect the Key and Use the Pliers

Through the door, you’ll find a key on the ground. Grab it and use it to open a small locker nearby.

Inside the locker is a pair of pliers. Take them and use the pliers to cut the rope inside. This triggers a bridge to drop down somewhere ahead in the map — without doing this step you simply can’t cross.

Step 6: Do the Obby and Cross the Bridge

There’s a short obby section here. It’s not too long, but take it steady. Once you reach the top, jump down on the other side and use the bridge you just lowered to cross over.

On the other side, press the button on the left to open the door ahead.

Step 7: The Canvas Color Puzzle

This is another tricky one. You’ll see a canvas on the wall with a specific color arrangement — red, blue, green, yellow — and you need to note both the colors AND their exact positions.

The positions are:

Red is at the top left. Blue is at the bottom middle. Green is at the top right. Yellow follows after that.

Now go to the blank canvas nearby and press the colors in the same order and positions as what you just noted. So red goes top left, blue goes bottom middle, green goes top right, and yellow last.

Do it correctly and the spider webs covering the nearby statue will be removed.

Step 8: Make All Statues Face the Center

The final puzzle in The Lava Temple is a statue orientation challenge. After reading the poster on the wall — which says “all statues must face the center” — your job is simple: click each statue to rotate it until it’s facing inward toward the middle of the room.

There are statues on both sides of the room. Work through them one by one, clicking each until it turns to face the center.

Once every single statue is facing inward, the final puzzle is solved. The Lava Temple is complete.

Final Thoughts

The Lava Temple is a fitting final map for Bring Back The Sun. It throws everything at you — decoding, pattern reading, positional puzzles, and an orientation challenge — and it does it in a way that feels genuinely rewarding when you work through it all.

The symbol decoder is the standout puzzle of the whole map. It’s the kind of thing that seems cryptic at first but makes complete sense the moment you understand how the values chain together into the keypad codes.

If you’ve completed all five maps, congratulations — you’ve done everything the game currently has to offer. The boss fight is still on the way, and we’ll have a full guide ready when it drops. Stay tuned.
