Critically acclaimed strategy game Door Kickers is headed to iPad in May.

Developer KillHouse Games, who confirmed the news, also says that Android tablets "will probably follow."

Door Kickers is a top-down, real-time strategy game that asks players to command a SWAT team in tense, tactical situations.

The developers are working to "adapt and tune" the gameplay to work with touch-based controls on tablets.

Cross-saving across PC and tablets could also be a possibility.
