You'll be able to grab Pokemon X or Y on 3DS XL and 2DS for free in March with new Club Nintendo promotion

If you're on American soil and own a Nintendo 3DS XL or a 2DS, here's some good news.

If you register your handheld and any one of the six games listed below to Club Nintendo, you'll be eligible to receive a download code for Pokemon X and Y for free.

Here's the list of eligible games you can register:

• Animal Crossing: New Leaf
• Yoshi's New Island
• Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins
• Super Mario 3D Land
• Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
• Mario Kart 7
